you need a mediator to get to the Mediator? The short answer is yes. Saints are not of course mediators in the same sense Jesus is, because they did not redeem my sins. They are intercessors and teachers: they pray for me, and with me, and they advise me on decisions I need to make and they encourage me. They are a company of holy men that I love to keep.

The real answer is even shorter and is *No*. We don't need a mediator to get to the mediator.
That is not even suggested anywhere in Scripture.
1 Timothy 2:5-6 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.
ONE mediator between God and man.
Not two, three, four, whatever.
