And he (Francis) places severe and continual blame on Christians in general, whom he depicts as full of defects. But there are those very Christians whom he, as a pastor, should defend and comfort: those same Christians who in so many places in the world are undergoing persecution, martyrdom and hatred under every power and ideology.

As a Catholic, I have some grave concerns about Francis’ leadership..

This pope is not a Catholic. I believe he is Satan, since he is not speaking out on violence and allowing gays as church members...

Is he hoping (and did the Koran kissing John Paul before him hope) that somehow these Muslims will “see the light” and become Roman Catholics too? Because both are “moral faiths”?

I’d be tickled to see them become any kind of Christian, frankly, but it looks like with few exceptions it is an exercise in swineward pearl casting.

The Pope was not only reticent, but when he was approached directly about this on the flight returning from Korea he wanted to emphasize that force and bombings should not be used to defend those defenseless people who were threatened by massacre at the hand of criminals.

If it is not OK to use force to defend the innocent from thugs, then the Pope should dismiss all the Swiss Guards.

Maybe if the Muslims were slaughtering gays, Francis would speak up. I suspect he is a closet case himself.

What do you expect? The pope during WWII maintained a neutral stance. What Christian who wants to emulate (or at least look to someone as a leader) Christ could follow such dopes?

Francis is preppin’ the way for a Global One World Religion that is acceptable to all except the most dogmatic followers of Christ.

It’s exactly why muzzie persecution of Christians gets ZERO headlines anywhere. It’s also why Joel Osteen and Rick Warren seem to share so many of the same beliefs that this Pontifex Maximus has.

He’s a political lefty. He’s P.C. He is persecuting Catholics and elevating anti-Catholics. About once a week, he throws out some prolefeed for the “traditionalists” by talking about the devil or Mary.

“...is the Pope Catholic?”

Not sure anymore!

Obama and Pope Francis are the mirror opposite of Reagan and Pope Jean-Paul II. A great darkness is in this world.

Jorge Bergoglio does not deserve to be called Pope. How a group of supposedly sane Cardinals could have elected this hack left wing wind bag is beyond me. He portrays himself as being humble. Yet, he never shuts his mouth, and is always telling one group or another how they should live their lives, mostly in poverty. He tried to “fix” the synod he called but got caught because he was so inept and heavy handed it became obvious. As a Catholic, I anxiously await the arrival of his successor. In the meantime may our triune God protect us.
