God, we come to You today on the basis of our trust in You and on the basis of our need. We choose obedience to Your Word, which we so often bring to Your remembrance: Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior.” Because we love You so, here we are united before Your throne.

Father, manifest Your love to each beloved member of our Armed Forces. That love brings people to Your heart, heals their bodies and minds, gives peace and manifests any deliverance and protection that is needed. Your love is all that is needed because You are love. Thank You.

We also pray for all who are in authority in our Nation and in Israel. Reveal to each one that there is only ONE God, and only one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus. Teach them by Your Holy Spirit to hear His voice and choose obedience to Him. Let the fear of the Lord sweep our countries, Sir.

We love You and join in sentiment with the apostle Paul: Indeed, we felt within ourselves that we had received the [very] sentence of death, but that was to keep us from trusting in and depending on ourselves instead of on God Who raises the dead. For it is He Who rescued and saved us from such a perilous death, and He will still rescue and save us; in and on Him we have set our hope (our joyful and confident expectation) that He will again deliver us [from danger and destruction and draw us to Himself], (2 Cor. 9-10)

We pray in the righteous One who gave His life for us, Jesus Christ. Amen.
