Great word! As an amateur student of medieval history, I absolutely love the Catholic Church’s calendar of holy days, feast days, fast days. It structured people’s lives in the most cultured and healthy way. Christmas was a month long!
Me too.
That’s a word I didn’t know, either. It reminds me of Father Vasiliy from “The Onion Dome” Orthodox satire site, with his fusses about the calendar. “It was never the Feast of John Paul II, Pope, in 19th Century Russia. Is outrage! Who is he thinks?!”
