Clearly, Burke is now the source that journalists with all sorts of agendas will seek out to exploit this juicy story of a rift within the Church at the very highest levels. One can hardly blame Cardinal Burke for this, as the sophisticated Vatican PR operatives must have known very well that the man could become a "news bureau." An obvious theory to me then is that perhaps Burke has powerful semi-silent support from somewhere within the Curia!
Odd, that the Romans are now on a path trod first in recent times by African Anglican Archbishops! Too simple for modern times. Homosexuals are welcome into The Church, the "catch" for them is that they must acknowledge acting upon same-sex attraction is a grievous sin and that the "attraction" itself is a perversion or perhaps at least abnormal. Those married within the church and then divorced and "re-married," ain't actually "re-married," but living in public sin. Hello? It's a Church, not a club where the 'members" can vote to adopt new rules.
