The answer is Catholics have more fun. My Catholic cousins could dance, drink, play cards, gamble and smoke and the protestants couldn’t. BTW I’m not Catholic but had a little envy for my cousins who were.
I’m not Catholic but I appreciate that my Catholic friends can relax and have a beer or glass of wine if they like.
Now my question is, why would anyone write for a blog named “indiegogo”?
Obviously, you haven’t been out on Sat.nite in Texas or Oklahoma. Unless, they’re all drunken Catholics.
My Baptist inlaws became Presbyterian so they could do all that! Well, they didn’t mention the gambling part. At least that’s what they told me. LOL!
I've always thought that it was tougher to be Catholic. Protestants, once Saved, go to Heaven. Period.
Being a Catholic requires constant maintenance (weekly Mass, Reconciliation, etc). The "fun" has to be in moderation. Then, if the Catholic dies in a state of grace, there is a likely stay in pugatory in preparation for entry into Heaven.
All of which are great reasons to choose a religion!</sarc>
Indeed.
The typical Catholic person was 38% less likely than the average American to read the Bible; 67% less likely to attend a Sunday school class; 20% less likely to share their faith in Christ with someone who had different beliefs, donated about 17% less money to churches, and were 36% less likely to have an "active faith," defined as reading the Bible, praying and attending a church service during the prior week. Catholics were also significantly less likely to believe that the Bible is totally accurate in all of the principles it teaches. 44% of Catholics claimed to be "absolutely committed" to their faith, compared to 54% of the entire adult population. However, Catholics were 16% more likely to attend a church service and 8% more likely to have prayed to God during the prior week than the average American. Just like non Christians. Why not stay home and party all the time because that seems like what some people like. I never will forget reading a newspaper article in the 70’s where a Catholic church was wanting to build a bar in that church. Why would any “church” even consider that? This whole organization seems like a cult.
Yes, Catholics can gamble and drink, (although not get drunk)but ANYTHING to do with sex outside of marriage is an automatic Mortal Sin! You go to Hell forever.

I’ve gone in circles with certain Baptist preachers about alcohol.
If drinking causes you to sin, you shouldn’t drink. If you are around someone who has a problem with alcohol, you should abstain while in their presence.
Romans 14 spells it out!
