Many people are understandably dismayed by the the Supreme Court's refusal to hear several gay marriage cases effectively codifying gay marriage in several states.
While it is certainly disappointing, it isn't really unexpected.
I hate to break this news to you, especially if you are one of these people who think that this country, a country founded with limited government, separation of powers, and federalism, is still recoverable by normal means, it isn't.
The U.S. as we knew it and understood it is gone and it isn't coming back, at least not by regular constitutional means. Nope.
Federalism, limited government, checks and balances, all gone. We now have a rapidly increasing federal behemoth with unlimited powers granted to itself rapidly centralizing power in the person of the president (I don't say office, but person). All of which is hell bent on running every part of your life including your morality, all aided and abetted by an unelected black-robed oligarchy.
You can elect all the Republicans you want, do you really think they will change anything? Not a chance.
Nope the U.S. is done. And you know what? That may be a good thing. Such government, even one founded on the principles of limited constitutional powers and federalism, can only work for a people for whom Christ is their King. That isn't us.
I don't know where we go from here, but I suspect that it is bad. I continue to believe I have a moral obligation to behave in a lawful way, but I no longer consider myself bound in loyalty to a government that has has moved beyond the powers granted to it. Morality, decency, and legitimate freedom will not be restored to Americans through election, it will take other means. I believe the world will undergo a crisis incomprehensible to most and what will emerge from the other side is a different people. That different people will choose a different government.
Until then, we have chosen tyranny and tyranny is what we will get.
We’re there. Time is very short, and its going to be very ugly.
I have to bet you have not surrendered.
I agree with this. Here in Pennsylvania, one pro-life group whom we’ve supported with our time and dollars has begun to focus on the gay marriage. I told the leader that I thought he was tilting at windmills. He responded badly and angrily, but all I could think was it was sad how he was trying to hang on to a Judeo-Christian in America through its laws. It’s not going to happen. Only a resurgence of Christianity can save us.
“Still, if you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed, if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not so costly, you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance for survival. There may be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no chance of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”
— Winston Churchill
The blogger may be right, but I don’t think one should give up without a fight. I find his tone kind of snarky and obnoxious, as if he thinks it’s a good thing for America to go under. On the contrary, for some of us who love our homeland, it is a very sad thing.
“The U.S. as we knew it and understood it is gone and it isn’t coming back ...”
100% spot on correct.
Not really overdue, IMHO.
More like, in progress.
Yes, but let’s not call it CWII, because it isn’t.
What we need is Revolution 2.0.
The Fedgov have become King George and his Ministers. All good men, regardless of where they are, need to support the new Revolution.
"Nothing is over until we say it is."
No arguments going on here. Just thought you might want to see this thread. R2z

Ok, Mr. Happy. You give up if you want to, but I'm not with you.
The question to ask is: What is the end result of a nation that establishes its government based on the votes of 200 million sinners?
“I don’t know where we go from here, but I suspect that it is bad”.
Anarchy and the survival of the fittest. I suggest you stock up on survival foods and plenty of ammunition. There’s a war coming and it’s not going to be pretty.
I agree but better to say Jerusalem than Rome.
The Zealots thought they had to take over Judea as the Maccabees did several generations before. Judas Iscariot was one of these and thought he could push Jesus into becoming this temporal, worldly leader of the Jews. But Christ rejected that when he met Satan in the desert... Judas went on to be one of the most hated men in history.
Jesus was a King, THE King, but His Kingdom, as you say, is not nor ever was of this world. This world will perish in the End Times.
The author must live in a very depressing world.
There’s a difference between “giving up” and “stating the obvious.” Pat has simply done the latter.
The world is beyond political solutions, beyond human redemption.
The sins of man cry out to heaven for vengeance.
It will take an act of God to sort out this mess.
That's funny; even James (the Proverbs of the New Testament
) which is pretty convicting mentions liberty:
You do well if you really fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. But if you show partiality, you commit sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors. For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become accountable for all of it. For the one who said, You shall not commit adultery, also said, You shall not murder. Now if you do not commit adultery but if you murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. So speak and so act as those who are to be judged by the law of liberty. For judgment will be without mercy to anyone who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment. As we see here, this is advocating
Tradition, the main thing that Catholics use to deny the scripture authority.
Or maybe he's just angry towards the idiots who voted for the many libtards in office and wants to them to face the evils they've inflicted on all of us.....
