It's been all over the Italian media today - the bishop of Imola, Tommaso Ghirelli, writes an editorial for his diocesan paper in which the message is clear: "do-goodism" will bury Italy and Europe. Either Muslims in traditionally Christian countries in Europe behave as "honourable men" and publicly denounce Islamic "persecutions and acts of cruelty," or they should rather be "courageous" enough to own up to their beliefs "and leave our country," because "nobody wants enemies in their own home."

I opt for the Muslims leaving option. They don’t belong in the West, never did, never will. Nothing good ever comes from Islam.

It seems even the christian church is starting to come to the conclusion that we MUST fight to eradicate these murderous thugs from the planet or be exterminated tomorrow.

The problem is that ISIS would welcome such a move.

But would it matter? It could have the eventual benefit of utterly undermining the whole of the Mohammedan religion. Muslims could scarcely believe that Allah would allow one of the key pillars of Islam to be destroyed. Perhaps the best possible outcome might someday be to prove Islam false once and for all. The bulk of Muslims converting to something else --anything else-- would be a net benefit to the world at large. There are lots of dead religions in all of history. Maybe someday Islam will be one of them.
