[1] James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

HMMMmmm...

Where are 10 of those tribes now?

You keep on ignoring the bigger elephant:

Those Gentiles are mostly of the 10 tribes of lost sheep, who have been gentiles since the death of Solomon.

Your rejection of the word of God as one whole truth is staggering.

Israel is the bride, and yes they have been the adulterous, out of covenant, “not a people” gang for generations. The apostles were bringing them beck to being a people again:

1Peter 2:9-10

[9] But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
[10] Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

1Peter was written to the dispersed "strangers" of the northern tribes, whose story was told by the prophet Hosea.

Right where Jacob prophesied that they would be in Genesis.

They are the dominant people of the dominant nations of the world.

Your rejection of the word of God as one whole truth is staggering.

In the same manner you judge...

So it's your contention it's better to ignore just PARTS of it?

   Greetings.

24 We have heard that some went out from us without our authorization and disturbed you, troubling your minds by what they said. 25 So we all agreed to choose some men and send them to you with our dear friends Barnabas and Paul— 26 men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 27 Therefore we are sending Judas and Silas to confirm by word of mouth what we are writing. 28 It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements: 29 You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things.

   Farewell.

Could that not be why ‘judeo christian’ country they say we live in today prides itself on the ‘freedom and liberty’ altar and fruit of that is found in 55 million aborted babies in the last 40 years..

Not to mention the industries of Hollywood, porn and the music industry or ‘western’ rot has found their headquarters in the same country with said ‘judeo christian’ values?

That freedom and liberty gets pumped to the whole world and then have the arrogant pride to call ourselves the good guys...

That comment is deeply dishonest.

I’ve ignored no part of it; I just refuse to stretch the meaning of any part of it. You constantly disregard the reason they stated for their limited list of beginning requirements.

They simply wanted to give them the most critical requirements, knowing that if their faith was real, they would learn it all by hearing it read in their synagogue every Sabbath day.

These apostles were true men of God, and knew the penalty for changing the commandments. They never would alter an eternal commandment.

The biggest, and most harmful departure from God’s word today is turning to the medical establishment for healing, and accepting their deadly drugs in place of the powerful healing herbs God gave us.

Turning our children over to satanic government schools is another one.

Is there any prophecy that you accept?

Or are they all just throw-aways to fill up the Bible like boiler plate?

They never would alter an eternal commandment.

Show what was 'altered'.

The 'commandments were given to the JEWS - not Gentiles.

Your trying to claim that gentiles are really lost Jews is insane.

No, they were given to Adam’s descent.

It is clear that Cain and Abel had knowledge of them, and later Noah knew that there were clean and unclean animals.

When they were given again at Sinai, they were given to all Hebrews that were present, not just to Judah.

Yeshua asked all that would follow him to keep all of the commandments, and Paul and James stated unequivocally that only doers of the law would be justified, as John also stated in his first epistle, those that do not keep his commandments are not in him.

You’re arguing with Yeshua, and trying to pass your objections through me. It won’t work; save your disagreements for your appearance at the Great White Throne.

.
>> “Show what was ‘altered’.” <<

LOL!

I’m trying to show you that nothing was altered. The alteration is all in LC’s imagination.

The apostles were just easing their cousins back into obedience with the most vital instructions, knowing full well that those whose faith was real would learn it all as they listened to the Torah being read every Sabbath day in their synagogue.

You should try it some time.

I go by God’s word, not what I wish were true.

It shudda said this...
IT WAS POORLY TRANSLATED THERE...
Hebrew language idioms REALLY mean this...

I think you and your fellow travelers REALLY need to translate the BIBLE into what it SHOULD be; so the rest of us poor saps can get up to speed.

I really see no desire on your part to understand anything.

What I do see is active effort to get out of what Yeshua has asked of us.

Even as glitchy as the Greek is, it is still asking for simple things that you refuse.

What I see is a dismissal of what is written in Acts 15: namely the CONTENTS of the letter.

There is a perfect example of what I mean.

The deliberations of the apostles is the important part, the letter is only intended to be temporary, until they get educated in their synagogue every Sabbath day.

You throw out the reasoning, and cling to the temporary bandaid.
