I would advocate rescuing hostages by force, superior firepower, stealth, vengeance, and annihilation, Not money to finance further jihad.

I am glad I am not married to you. If the purchase of my life meant that others would be kidnapped, raped, and tortured to further jihad, I would rather die. I could not live with myself.
