I’m not sure of what you are trying to say. But, I can say this in response. The catholic church acknowledges that there have been bad popes, anti-popes and a multitude of clerics who did more to destroy the church than to build it.

That shows that the Church, as in the case of Israel, is under
Divine protection. The Church is not holy because of the men in it, it is holy because Jesus Christ is the head of the church.

What I’m trying to say is this:

You cannot use the fact that the Catholic church preserved God’s word as evidence that it was free from error, as we have the obvious example of Israel, who was full of error, who also preserved God’s word. Thus, it’s entirely possible that the Catholic church can be in error, and yet, through the power of God, still preserve God’s word faithfully.
