Christian churches teach belief in God as an eternal, self-existent, immortal being, unfettered by corporeal limitations and unchanging in both character and nature. In recent years, several Christian denominations have made studies of Mormon teaching and come to the conclusion that there are irreconcilable differences between LDS doctrine and Christian beliefs based on the Bible.

My dear, I will leave it to you to judge what is a legitimate religion and what is not.

I do not agree with the teachings of the Mormon Church. But I also do not attack it. I do not ridicule it. I do not make fun of it. It is what it is.

I don’t happen to agree with the Jewish faith either. But I don’t attack that religion either.

I’m a Catholic. I love my Church and practice my faith. I don’t agree with EVERYTHING my Church stands for as well, but I do agree with most of it.

My Church is far from perfect. We have made a lot of mistakes. We are still cleaning up the mess. My archdiocese alone has to grapple with a $660 billion settlement stemming from the homosexual/pedophile priest scandal. It will take us years to recover from that. Church attendance among Catholics is way down nationally and around the world. We have a critical shortage of priests. We have a lot of work to do just repair our own Church and to win back people who were born into our Faith.

I will leave the Mormon bashing to you. We need to build up our own Church and restore its credibility, not to tear down other faiths and churches IMHO.
