I have to convince no one of anything. If someone cannot see that it was not a “religious” post by reading it, no one will ever convince them otherwise. But mocking another religion (false or otherwise) is not “religious” in nature. And if it’s not politics, then it is simply childish behavior.
Now if you or someone else can offer some sort of argument that would suggest that publishing the beliefs of any religion in a mocking fashion like this advances the cause of any religion, I’ll tip my hat to that person. No legitimate religion establishes the truth of their religion by mocking some other one.
But inasmuch as recent news accounts have been filled with the suggestion that Mitt Romney is considering another go at the Presidency, and considering the fact that his LDS religion still gives him at least 30 pounds of lead in his run, I’d say that raising some of the many oddities about Mormonism and then presenting them in the most absurd fashion possible, is a good way to start the early attack. And it is generally sneak attacks like this that the low information voter rarely sees coming. That’s why it works.
Took me some time....but I realized the truth.
Attacks??
I don't think so....
...and no one does sneak attacks as well as Romney does.
