Mormons have some really weird beliefs. For example, many (all) Mormons believe they (males only) can take a cooking/salad oil, pour just a small drop on the crown of your head and their god will heal them of almost anything.
Mormons believe that by wearing ugly underwear bought from a specific company, their god will protect them from harm.
Mormons believe that by wearing a really weird looking costume they are taught secret ways to touch angels so after they die, the angels will let Mormons get into heaven quicker.
Mormons believe their god requires women to not wear outer clothing that covers their crotch (pants) to worship their god in a large and spacious room (chapel).
Mormons believe that a little torn piece of bread and a small sip of water that has been chanted over and then swallowed will require their god to forgive them for their sins.
Mormons believe by consuming certain foods and wearing funny looking clothes god loves them more than the rest of the humans.
It is the same with all parents. We love our children more or less depending upon how ugly their clothes are and how they consume small bits of food items.
The Mormon god must have a sense of humor watching his "SPECIAl" children called Mormons think this makes god love them the most.
Fact checker here; very comfortable with pointing out the error of Mormonism.

Me to, but; does EVERYONE include them plane flyin', bomb burstin', head choppin' radical Muslims as well???
It’s hard enough to communicate via this time delayed medium; so why make it harder?
This is a religion thread :technicalities: don`t you know is what it is about.
Obviously the things you mention don’t fit into my definition of religious practice.
Obviously, mormon practices such as arcane temple rituals required for salvation, wearing of "sacred" garments, the emphasis on the "atonement" rather than the crucifixion and most importantly, the rejection of the three-entity Trinity and mormon teaching that God was once a man and there is an infinite number of "gods", do not fit into ANY CHRISTIAN definition of religious practice.
Are mormons still claiming to be Christians?
Every man is his own Noah Webster?
I sure fits into THEIRS!
Something they were vehemently against in the early days?!?
Mormon here, comfortable and happy in my faith. I hope that everyone remains free to practice their religion as they desire and that we can preserve that precious liberty here and throughout the world.

Like the original poster said, when they start killing people I’ll start caring. Their “drones” and false teachings pale in comparison to what Islam is doing to this world.
(By this "logic," authors are the biggest liars...especially repeat authors)
Then don't respond.
You have no power to make me stop posting to you; but you DO have power to choose not to waste your time with me.
What Islam is doing to this world pales in comparison to what false teachings about Christ will do to their souls in the next.
(You do realize you are in the RELIGION forum; right??)
About 15 hours now; and only one response...
I do understand Catholic doctrine and teaching and agree with nearly all of it.
The Pope, btw, has stated that compulsory clerical celibacy is not dogma or doctrine, but rather a discipline subject to change. I totally agree with him on that point.
But when I question this policy, there are some around here who suggest that I am not sufficiently Catholic enough and that I should leave the Church.
There are some around here who delight in trashing the Mormon faith.
I have studied the teachings of that faith, and I certainly do not agree with much of it. The biggest problem for me as far as Mormonism is concerned, is that it is not supported by the historical record as far as I can tell.
That all said, if you don’t agree with a certain religion, it’s real simple. Don’t join it. Rather than trash other religions, I try to understand my own faith better and I serve as a volunteer at my Church and do everything I can to help it out.
I don’t understand what there is to gain by trashing the LDS. My own Church is far from perfect, we have had huge scandals. As my uncle once said, “he who lives in glass houses, should not sleep in the raw.”
I would suggest you bone up on the doctrine of papal infallibility. it has nothing to do with the pope not being a human being, a sinner and someone who makes mistakes.
you are correct on clerical celibacy.
