Mormons have some really weird beliefs. For example, many (all) Mormons believe they (males only) can take a cooking/salad oil, pour just a small drop on the crown of your head and their god will heal them of almost anything.
Mormons believe that by wearing ugly underwear bought from a specific company, their god will protect them from harm.
Mormons believe that by wearing a really weird looking costume they are taught secret ways to touch angels so after they die, the angels will let Mormons get into heaven quicker.
Mormons believe their god requires women to not wear outer clothing that covers their crotch (pants) to worship their god in a large and spacious room (chapel).
Mormons believe that a little torn piece of bread and a small sip of water that has been chanted over and then swallowed will require their god to forgive them for their sins.
Mormons believe by consuming certain foods and wearing funny looking clothes god loves them more than the rest of the humans.
It is the same with all parents. We love our children more or less depending upon how ugly their clothes are and how they consume small bits of food items.
The Mormon god must have a sense of humor watching his "SPECIAl" children called Mormons think this makes god love them the most.
My first or second post was about decent Americans. I guess you didn’t read through them. They can also burn as well - not my problem. In fact, I worry more about my own sins than Mitt Romney’s. I’m funny that way.
Oh, you mean Mormons are also members of the human race? Who’da thunk it.
So, you have a bee in your bonnet ‘cause you were once a Mormon. Sort of like gay men who grew up in the Catholic Church and are now pissed off because they were once told not to have impure thoughts. Bore, bore, bore.
And stop trying to censure me.
I read them and responded to them, including their underlying logic, which I will expand more on: that is, that evangelism is a function of showing love and kindness only, and not criticizing religions. In which case, if you are confronted by an opposing religion that also evangelizes by using love and kindness, you have nothing to say about it. They are both essentially valid.
In fact, I worry more about my own sins than Mitt Romneys. Im funny that way.
Which we can also interpret in the following way: You don't care about other people's salvation. Thus you are in direct rebellion of the command by God to "go forth" and teach all nations.
Don't you care that they have done identity theft against God?
Are you not zealous for the Name of the LORD?
1 Samuel 17:45 "Then David said to the Philistine, You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied."
Oh, I guess that’s why the Mormons have better conversion rates than you do. Yeah, using insults and ugly language always works. You could also try beheadings - that is a nifty tool for conversion.
and Willard Mitt Romney has been pro-abortion for all of his adult life..
plus he pushes same sex marriage, homosexual leaders in the boy scouts, homosexuals in the military..
plus, Mormonism was not intended to be decent...
many of the first Mormons joined Joey Smith because they were not decent and did not want to be decent or American..
Joey Smith was not decent...and he hated America and declared war on our government...
But that's not an issue here. This is the religion forum, not the "we should treat people fairly despite their differing religious beliefs" forum. We can all agree that it would be wrong to treat someone worse just because of what they believe. But in the religious context, whether you are a member of the body of Christ, or the body of Beelzebub, makes a significant difference eternally.
Two replies: Do Mormons have better conversion rates? You should provide that data if that is what you want to claim. I can provide data, however, that most of its converts do not stick around for very long.
Second reply: You do not know what I am a member of. I am a Protestant, and conversion rates for us are fairly high, much higher than for the LDS.
There is a bizarre pre-occupation with Mormonism for some here at FR. Often it even rivals their hatred of Catholics. (And that’s no small task.)
So odd, all things considered.
So you oppose converting non-Christians to Christianity. No wonder you seem so angry and are attacking Christians on this thread.
You have had at least one Mormon who converted to Christianity, tell you that these kind of threads work very well on Mormons.
You could also try beheadings

no that’s something Mormons do...
Yeah, using insults and ugly language always works. _________________________________
again that’s a practice of the Mormons...
Please stop, guys and gals, from sending me Bible quotations. I only read the Bible as a source of beautiful literary value. King James.
How ridiculous! Disagreeing with you is seen as "censure"??...Are you aware of the Religion Forum rules?
No, not against any christian religion, and many non-christian ones either. Got my own beliefs. Bigot? You have lost the argument.
Interesting and weird admission. If you read it as a "source of beautiful LITERARY value," does that mean you do not read it for Truth value? Also, why is a Catholic reading the King James? Mormons use the KJV, however.
You should like an anti-Christian bigot to me.
Bigot? You have lost the argument.
Considering your posts, this is like shooting yourself in the head.
Hey Greyfoxx39, I believe all religions, other than the Roman Catholic Church are false. But that being said, I have a strong suspicion that your post is motivated but it sounds to me like Karl Rove is hearing the footsteps of that Mormon Mitt Romney again.
One thing for sure, your post has absolutely nothing to do with religion.
Why the anger?
One could ALWAYS avoid the Religion Forum if one's preferences are to not read religious debate.
