Why single out churches? Penn State is not a church, and myriad other organizations, including government schools and Planned Parenthood, are notorious for whitewashing sex scandals. Bob

Why single out churches? Penn State is not a church, and myriad other organizations, including government schools and Planned Parenthood, are notorious for whitewashing sex scandals. BobBecause people expect better out of those who take the high moral ground.
Sure, all people who don't take sex abuse seriously need to be held accountable, but churches, who preach holy living and uphold moral standards, should not have to be held accountable. They should be setting the standard in dealing with sex abuse cases, not hiding it.

People who don’t take “sex abuse” seriously are usually also people who don’t take sin seriously at all, no matter what line of work they’re in. Many churches don’t take sin seriously ... don’t think any behavior of “consenting adults” is any concern.
