The OPC worships the pope’s calendar, called the Gregorian calendar.

They are not alone as the world of business, politics/governments and the major religions (christianity, jew, muslim) use it too to run their lives..

This pope calendar is used to define a work day, a holy day(holiday) and a sabbath- not just for Christianity but Jews and the secular humanists as well (Muslims are a little different as they don’t have a ‘day’ per se but Friday is ‘sabbath’ of sorts)

Study the pope Gregory calendar and research the names of the week and the names of the months and see if you can find the gods and goddesses and creations that are given their own ‘day’ or their very own ‘month’..

What you know of ‘time’ or a calendar is not taught from scripture, because on His calendar, days are numbered, not named....

The pope calendar is a solar only calendar that ignores the scriptures. it is not unlike the ancient sun worshippers..just because it I on your smarphne doesn’t make us more intelligent than those wisemen who could study His creation and know the signs...

Scripture tells us He gave us the sun, moon and stars for signs, seasons, days, years..

Our Heavenly Father has a calendar.. and It is in Scripture and His set times were perfectly fulfilled by the Word that became flesh...

And instead of using scripture, the daughters churches have adopted their mother’s timekeeping and holy days like december 25 and easter, which resemble sun worship traditions in the ancient world, and not His timekeeping or His word..

The war for worship is ancient and precedes the pope’s calendar- that is just the latest..

I use the words ‘pope’s calendar’ for emphasis... it is a hint to reformers that maybe they are not that different in doctrine and worship practices as they should be considering my study bible of 1599 made no bones about who the Antichrist is...

The daughers have softened their position since then.

the daughters are really closer to their mother more than they realize..

And for me, I observe His calendar.. and if one studies it, it is genuine.. and folks study the genuine to be able to spot the counterfeit..

They don’t just study the counterfeits.. and the pope’s calendar is a counterfeit...

And your entire life is run by it... today is Saturn’s day.,. Yesterday was His Sabbath., thinking most of the world was either working or playing,., tomorrow is a work day on His calendar..

Funny thing is, with His Sabbath, even muslims stumble on it from time to time as the pope’s calendar floats around His timekeeping..
And jews and christians will stumble on it for a time too..

But only one of those three declare the Word became flesh...

One thing for sure- His mercy and grace is needed more than any of us know..

This is not something you stumble into.. He has to lead you to it..

Ask, seek and knock and be prepared for learning and unlearning stuff you won’t hear on a Sun’s day in your average church...

He drew me away from the OPC church- and closer to Him.. not to another daughter or the mother church...

How cool should it be for a believer to know His actual birthday and know it when it passes on His calendar?
And know that it is hinted at in scripture and one need not guess or accept the churches teaching on an arbitrary day?

And from there, we can know every major life event He had here-circumcision, dedication, baptism, death, burial , resurrection(not easter)...

Maybe those aren’t important to the church.. but I suspect those would be things a bride may be interested in knowing about her bridegroom...
