Prayer request for my Dad

Asking for prayers for my Dad. He is 86 and has been in the hospital since yesterday for a bowel obstruction.
Dad and Mom have been married for 60 yrs. and we are all devout Catholics.
Dad is a disabled Army Vet, making Master Seargent before being medically discharged after being wounded in an explosion in the Phillipines during the communist Huk rebellion.
He seems to be slowly improving but we need him home.

Thank you all for your prayers. I know they have helped.
Dad was able to sit in a chair today and to walk short distances.
They have taken out his NG tube and he is taking small amounts of liquids.
He is still very weak but if everything keeps going well we hope to have him home in a few days.
