Nice to see Catholicism has denominations, too!

However, my point remains: the Apostles did not write or teach what the Catholic Church teaches:

“Purgatory, Priests, Bishops or a Papacy. They didn’t know about Mariology, Indulgences and there is no record of them pushing infant baptism.”

Nor does the Catholic Church teach that Paul had the right to jump down Peter’s throat:

“...I said to Peter so that everyone could hear, “If you, who are a Jew, do not live like a Jew but like a Gentile, why on earth do you try to make Gentiles live like Jews?”

And then I went on to explain that we, who are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners, know that a man is justified not by performing what the Law commands but by faith in Jesus Christ. We ourselves are justified by our faith and not by our obedience to the Law, for we have recognised that no one can achieve justification by doing the “works of the Law”....I refuse to stultify the grace of God by reverting to the Law. For if righteousness were possible under the Law then Christ died for nothing!”

Telling Peter that his behavior and teaching effectively made Christ’s death meaningless is about as harsh as one can get - and Paul did it “so that everyone could hear”.

They aren’t denominations. They are all Catholic and all under the Pope.

**“Purgatory, Priests, Bishops or a Papacy. They didn’t know about Mariology, Indulgences and there is no record of them pushing infant baptism.”**

And just how do you know all the teaching that they did? Purgatory is covered in the Gospels, Priests (Presbyters and Bishops are covered in Timothy. (I think it’s 2Tim) The Papacy is covered in the accounts of Easter Day and the next morning, Indulgences are thrown out in Acts — I think with Magus Simon — hence the word simony.

I think they knew about them.
