Well, the constitution is 200-ish years old, and written by men...so, this is just stretching things a bit further. I’m actually a bit taken aback that this is even surprising or newsworthy.

I am conservative by temperament. I recall a high school English class, when the teacher didn’t believe me when I said that I respected the opinions and wisdom of my grandfather, which I insisted upon. Just so, I respect the wisdom of e.g. Proverbs. I do have an essentially secular view of the Bible, but in this view, it stands very well on its own.
