Once inside, the archaeologists found five or six coats of paint on the walls, the last of which was from the Coptic period of the first Christians. In addition to the image of the curly man, the walls feature symbols and images of plants and inscriptions written in the Coptic language, which are currently being translated. Ping!

But the painting is from much later, dating from between the sixth and seventh century A.D. Unless the painter was somebody who actually saw Christ, or had somebody who did guiding his painting, he's no more likely to paint an accurate image then I am.

Unless the painter was somebody who actually saw Christ, or had somebody who did guiding his painting, he's no more likely to paint an accurate image then I am. No one is claiming this is an accurate portrait. It is just historically and archaeologically significant to find an image of Jesus from such an early period.

expert opinion .... I usd a copy of the Picture in the article and did a very exhaustive search ..... Procured an 8
Million dollar federal Grant to study and research the subject and after evaluating the data have arrived at the profound conclusion that this Is definitely an image.
