Remember when the libs said stuff like this was "never going to happen"? Ideas do have consequences and I'm surprised that liberal theologians haven't been more vocal in supporting it.

The whole thing is ridiculous. Our government is stupid. Marriage is one man, one woman...and everything else is people doing anything they want to do.

I’m having a hard time discerning whether it’s
arrogance,
ignorance,
or
deceit
that makes a liberal think or tell us they can re-define something and have redefinition stop there.

I have no problem with people contracting a relationship as long as the contract is in accordance with applicable laws of the relevant jurisdiction. That means of course a clear procedure for breaking the contract, that is divorce in most cases although I suppose annulment and separation might also apply.
As for the holy sacrament of marriage, churches differ on rules about this. Since I am free to pick my church, I can associate where and with whom I share common belief.
The question of what government finds worthy of a contract is for the people through their representatives to decide as modified by a judiciary which has forgotten it's constitutional role, but that's another story. The question of whether a relationship meets the threshold of marriage is for the clergy and perhaps God, if he has a preference, to decide.

At least these weirdos didn’t wait for the state’s permission. To my understanding the Episcopalians won’t marry anyone unless the state they are in pats them on the head and says it’s OK, even if they actually believe ‘gay marriage’ or whatever other impossibility is the current trendy marriage combo is theologically possible.

The threesome a church should embrace is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
If a church's focus starts there and stays there, it should do well.
If not, it's not the sort of church where you would find what you need.

The big goal for evil will be the celebration of incest.
The destruction of the family will be complete.
How is it that human interaction has devolved to the stimulation of genitals and lust in our civilization as its highest concern?

When you step back to the BIG picture, that’s what it’s all about -
Christ vs those who oppose Him.
There is no other real conflict.

I really think these churches made a business decision.. We need more people dropping coins in the bowl, let’s see who we can embrace..
