If a child is born in the gloaming, which day does his birth belong to?

i just googled it and found the gloaming is after sunset. well, sunset starts the new jewish day, so if the child is born in the gloaming after sunset, the birth is on that new day.

The Jews start their days at sunset

The world starts their days at midnight

And God starts His Day with Light...

Let there be light.
Then there was dusk/twilight (I think erev in hebrew-evening, sunset, night)
then there was break of day-boqer in hebrew (morning) ( also end of night, coming of day light, breaking through of light)
The first day...

I for one can live with scripture saying day beginning at the first Light...and also saying in places Day (light) ends when the sun goes down..if I lived off the land and had no electricity, I think I would have to be up at the crack of dawn, like they needed to be back then..working in the light, so as to not stumble.

but if one has to know what cycle of time it could belong to-
the light or ‘day’ it follows is the 24 hour day cycle it would belong to according to genesis. And I think there are biblical passages that do have this template also.

The 14th day at evening isn’t the 15th ‘day’... it is still the 14th according to Genesis.. until the break of dawn(morning), then it is the 15th day..the next ‘light’..

That’s how the first week went and I am just following that pattern of light, less light, no light, new light.

He rested on the seventh ‘day’ and blessed it.. an interesting thing is I don’t think it mentioned ‘an evening or a morning’ after the seventh day rest..which I guess could be inferred a couple different ways.

But if others see it another way, whatever way- it is all for us to study and be convinced by scripture.

I like to try to think what was going on back before grocery stores and fast food joints and electricity. I certainly read scripture a little different.. tough t work in the dark back then and maybe a sabbath ‘day’ rest, was just that- the ‘daylight’ ...
