That’s a nice story, but it isn’t so.

Just because you or I believe or don't believe something is or isn't true, doesn't alter what is true.

The Biblical Story of the Great Flood is true as recorded. All you can do is say, "but it isn't so". Yet, you really don't know for sure one way or the other. I know it to be true.
