Clergy Should Defy Church's 'Morally Outrageous' Gay Marriage Ban, Says Bishop [Anglican]

Bishop of Buckingham says gay priests should marry despite orders not to and claims several serving bishops are themselves in same-sex partnerships, urging them to go public for the sake of 'honesty and truthfulness'

Gay clergy should follow their conscience and defy the Church of England’s restrictions on same-sex marriage, a prominent bishop has said as the most radical change ever made to the legal definition of marriage in Britain comes into force.

The Rt Rev Alan Wilson, the Bishop of Buckingham, said priests should be “creative” to get around restrictions on blessings for same-sex couples and that gay clergy who wish to marry should do so in defiance of the official line.

He also claimed that several current serving bishops are themselves in gay partnerships, and urged them to publicly acknowledge their status for the sake of “honesty and truthfulness” and even consider marrying.

Joined by an alliance of seven retired bishops, he condemned the Church’s position on gay marriage as “morally outrageous” and said it made him “ashamed”.

“Gay clergy should follow their conscience ..... “

Lost them before even a complete sentence.

These guys need to try to create their own little religion because their lifestyles don’t fit the one they’re trying to use.

Glad I don't live in England.
A once great country continues to find new ways to fail.

Muzzies on one side, gay Priests on the other.

Actually they seem to be following in the footsteps of the priests of the Old Testament and the Pharisees/Sadducees of the Mew Testament. You know, golden calf like actions, condoning/profiting from money exchangers preying on worshipers, in other words doing what’s right in their own eyes. Nothing new under the sun.....

Gay???

Sodomites (like all of us sinners) should accept God's Grace to repent of their sins, accept His forgiveness, and reform their lives.

We Left the Episcopal Church 6 years ago because of this nonsense - now we will have to leave the Anglican Communion. Who could have guessed even 10-15 years ago that Satan would use this “abominable” behavior to shatter the church. Or, another way to look at it, is that God is using this to cleanse the church, to separate His church from deceivers. What a pity so many are led astray by such foolishness.

Marriage is for natural procreation acts between a male and a female. It is not to legitimize unnatural behavior.

Yep. A guy masturbating inside another man’s $h!thole is not a marital act.

If they really want to be creative, renounce belief in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and set up a new church worshipping Baal.
