The King James Version is EDITED to exclude at least 7 books of the Bible.

The KJV is a PROTESTANT BIBLE.

KJV does NOT include:
1 Maccabees
2 Maccabees
Tobit
Judith
Wisdom
Baruch
Sirach
and Chapters 13 & 14 from Daniel.

Luther decided to exclude the O.T. books which were written in Greek, and he was followed by other Protestants, but for a long time these books were bound between the O.T. and the N.T. in Protestant editions and called the Apocrypha. In the early 19th century Bibles started being printed which excluded them entirely. Colonial American Bibles would likely have had these books.

Luther didn't like 2nd Maccabees because of 12.45, which could be used to support the Catholic position on purgatory and indulgences. ("Therefore he made atonement for the dead, so that they might be set free from their sin"--trans. of Edgar Goodspeed).

The Story of Susanna is a Greek edition to the book of Daniel, therefore in the Protestant Apocrypha, but Shakespeare seems to have expected his audience to be familiar with it (in The Merchant of Venice, when Shylock says, "A Daniel! a second Daniel!" he must be thinking of the Story of Susanna).

Gee, Larry... how times do you have to be told that the KJV actually HAD all those things in it when first created?

WHY do you keep on presenting MISLEADING information?
