I VERY frequently use the KJV Bible to demonstrate that many/most Catholic teachings exist even in their edit versions.
Catholics use the full KJV — I am unsure what you mean by “edit versions.”
There were some attempts to re-translate from the original Latin, Greek and Aramaic (”Good News for Modern Man”) but I don’t think it ever got traction.
