Reward increased for information leading to arrests in Lakewood Church theft

HOUSTON - Lakewood Church and Crime Stoppers have increased the reward to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest of the people responsible for the recent break-ins and theft.

The crime was reported on March 10 around 8:30 a.m. by a church staff member.

Investigators believe the theft at the church in the 3700 block of the Southwest Freeway happened between 2:30 p.m. on March 9 and 8:30 a.m. on March 10.

The thief or thieves took cash, checks and credit card vouchers.

If anyone has information about the theft, please call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.

Lakewood Church says it has turned over all its information to the Houston Police Department and has no further comment at this time.

If they left that much in the building overnight it speaks volumes about their financial status and wealth. We have night vision cameras covering every part if our church plus we have a lot of people carrying concealed. If someone tries to do anything stupid it will be shut down immediately.
