Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem
In This Passage from Isaiah, we see an image of the desert being restored to a forest of beautiful trees. During the days of the Ottoman Empire, the trees of Israel were nearly all cut down to provide wood for railroad ties and locomotive fuel. The Turks imposed a Tax on trees, so that people willingly chopped them down and gave up the wood to avoid the tax. Since the Founding of the modern State of Israel, thousands of trees have been planted to restore the land. (I have even planted quite a few myself, and when my husband died three years ago, FReepers donated generously to the Jewish National Fund to plant some more.) Of Course, this will pale in comparison to what the Lord will do one day!
Come and Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
Hallelujah and Amen
