Sorry Bishop, but you know not what you speak of. The ACA is an abomination.

What place does this have in the role of a Catholic Bishop?

“Bishop Gerald Barnes of San Bernardino urged the faithful of his diocese to sign up for health insurance.”

Give me the book, chapter, and verse for that, Bishop.

If it comes from Mao’s Little Red Book, I’m not interested.

The US Catholic bishops have been at the forefront of the push for amnesty and socialized medicine. I guess that’s what comes of never having earned an honest dollar in your entire life.

Bishop: The Lord wants you to sign up for Obamacare even if the premium is double what you paid before.

Parishioner: But that means I won't have enough money to tithe.

Bishop: Well, maybe the Lord doesn't want you to have health insurance that badly after all . . . . . .

I can’t respect a “bishop” who pimps for Obama. Pimping communism is not his job.

From the article:
“However, these factors do not mean that we, as Catholics, should disobey the new health care law,” Bishop Barnes added. “If we happen to have an insurance plan that includes services that are objectionable to our faith, which most plans in California do, our response is to not utilize these services … The Affordable Care Act is now part of civil law and as faithful citizens we are obligated to follow it.”

I've only been to San Bernardino a couple times so maybe something has changed, but if not, I wonder how often this same Bishop tells the faithful to turn themselves in to the INS because they're obligated to follow the civil law.

Sounds like a Cafeteria Bishop to me.

Did he also encourage people to beat up members of the Little Sisters of the Poor? At least then, you could say he was acting consistently.

Considering the Pope advocates civil unions as a way to get health insurance (fraud for you playing at home), are you surprised?

And yet, people keep protesting when I point out that the RCC is socialist that the people I’m pointing at are “CINO.”

Well, here’s a guy who represents the church. His pronouncements have the weight of his office behind them.

Ergo, the RCC is socialist.
