The Secret of My Saints
Vultus Christi ^ | 1-12-14 | Fr. Mark Kirby

Posted on 02/28/2014 3:16:35 PM PST by mlizzy

You could have come sooner.
I was waiting for you.
I am always waiting for you:
I wait for all My priests in the Sacrament of My Love,
but they make little of Me,
and of the fact that I wait for them day and night.

If only they knew what awaits them in My presence :
the plenitude of mercy,
and rivers of living water to cleanse them,
to reinvigorate their priesthood,
and to sanctify them.

This was the secret of my saints,
of the holy friends whom I have made known to you :
Dom Marmion, the Curé of Ars,
Saint Peter Julian Eymard, Saint Gaetano Catanoso,
Dom Vandeur, Father Marie–Joseph Cassant,
all of these, priests according to My Heart.
And there are so many others also
who knew how to live between the altar and the tabernacle,
that is, between their offering of the Holy Sacrifice
and My abiding presence.

This is what I am asking of you.
You are a priest adorer now;
do not forget this
This is the call that I addressed to you,
and, with the call, I always give the grace to correspond to it.
Accustom yourself to giving me the best of your time.
Your first duty now is to abide before Me
for those of my priests who pass before Me without stopping;
without even bowing to adore Me,;
without taking the time to make the genuflection
that bespeaks the faith of the Church
and the love of every believing soul.

Here in my presence I will fill you,
not only for yourself,
but also for all those to whom
it will be given you to transmit my messages of love and of mercy.
I want also that you should speak to them of My solitude in the tabernacle.
Certain sophisticated minds will laugh at this.
They forget that I am not there like some inanimate object.
It is my Heart that waits for you in the tabernacle;
it is my gaze that, full of tenderness,
fixes itself, from the tabernacle, on those who draw near to it.

I am not there for my own sake.
I am there to feed you
and to fill you with the joys of My presence.
I am He who understands every man’s loneliness,
especially the loneliness of my priests.
I want to share their solitude
so that they will not be alone with themselves,
but alone with Me.

There I shall speak to their hearts as I am speaking to you.
I am ablaze to be for each one of my priests
the Friend whom they seek,
the Friend with whom they can share everything,
the Friend to whom they can tell everything,
the Friend who will weep over their sins
without, for a moment, ceasing to love them.

It is in the Eucharist that I wait for them
as physician and as remedy.
If they are sick in their body
or in their soul,
let them seek me out,
and I will heal them of the evil that afflicts them.

Many priests do not have a real and practical faith
in my Eucharistic presence.
Do they not know that the Eucharist
encloses within itself all the merits of My Passion?
Let them recover the faith of their childhood.
Let them come to find Me there where I am waiting for them
and I, for my part, will work miracles of grace and holiness in them.

What I want above all else
is that My priests be saints,
and for this do I offer them My presence in the Eucharist.
Yes, this is the great secret of priestly holiness.
You must tell them this,
you must repeat what I am saying to you,
so that souls may be comforted by it
and stimulated to seek holiness.

My Heart thirsts for the love of saints.
To those who come to Me, I will give love and holiness.
And in this shall my Father be glorified.
And this shall be wrought by the intimate action of my Spirit.
Where I am present in the Sacrament of My Love,
there also is the Spirit of the Father and of the Son.

It is by the Holy Spirit that my Eucharistic presence
is my glorious presence to the Father in heaven,
and it is by the Holy Spirit that my Eucharistic presence
touches the souls who adore Me to unite them to Me,
and to bear them up even before My Father’s face.

For now, this is enough.
You did well to consecrate this Monday and all Mondays to the Holy Spirit.
This was not a useless thing.
I welcome such gestures and I ratify them in heaven.
Be faithful to this, and you will see great things.

With Ash Wednesday just around the corner, Fr. Kirby enlivens the soul (as he always does), as to the importance of Eucharistic Adoration, a movement Mother Teresa says, "needs a great push." However, if an adoration chapel is not nearby, two priests recently reminded me that adoring before the Blessed Sacrament in church before or after Mass, is still very much adoration of Our Lord, so anyone who attends Mass (and doesn't mind coming early or staying late) can adore, thus leaving themselves open to being filled with "His strength and His power."

Another one of Mother Teresa's inspiring quotes on adoration:
“When you look at the crucifix, you understand how much Jesus loved you. When you look at the Sacred Host you understand how much Jesus loves you now. This is why you should ask your parish priest to have Perpetual Adoration in your parish. I beg the Blessed Mother to touch the hearts of all parish priests that they may have Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration in their parishes, and that it may spread throughout the entire world.”

About the monstrance...

“Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them. They are vanity, and the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.”
-—Jeremiah 10:14-15

“Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.”
-—Acts 17:29

Flee this idolatry!

I did not figure you would agree with this post but it wasn’t entered to annoy you. If I was smart enough, and felt it would do any good, I would explain to you the beauty of adoring Christ in the Eucharist and what it can do for one’s soul, but for now, all I can say is that if anyone looks to Fr. Kirby’s writings and sees a man who isn’t at a spiritual height much greater than most (due to his constant adoration of Our Lord), well, they probably aren’t looking at all.

You aren’t annoying me. The truth is I pity anyone who doesn’t understand the utter wickedness of this practice. I posted those Scriptures in hopes they would speak to you and others.

My authority is the Word of God, not misguided this Kirby fellow.

I read portions of your links, thank you, but I am not worshiping molten images at adoration (I do not worship the monstrance); I'm worshiping Christ in the Eucharist. That is not idolatry. One faith believes Christ can bring Himself to earth, and continues to do so daily through the Most Holy Eucharist, others believe that's not possible for whatever reason. If your faith allows you to be a beautiful person, you have no worries. Adoration helps me be not necessarily a beautiful person, but definitely a better person, and again, I look to those who adore (and have adored) the most. Mother Teresa of Calcutta was one, and this is what she had to say:
“It was not until 1973, when we began our daily Holy Hour that our community started to grow and blossom…In our congregation, we used to have adoration once a week for one hour, and then in 1973, we decided to have adoration one hour every day. We have much work to do. Our homes for the sick and dying destitute are full everywhere. And from the time we started having adoration every day, our love for Jesus became more intimate, our love for each other more understanding, our love for the poor more compassionate, and we have doubled the number of vocations. God has blessed us with many wonderful vocations. The time we spend in having our daily audience with God is the most precious part of the whole day.”
Do you think Mother Teresa and her order were being tricked by the devil? If so, why did so many good fruits result from their work with the poor and destitute of Calcutta?

Christ isn’t in that Eucharist, FRiend. Christ is not a wafer god. He is on His throne at the right hand of the Father. Rome’s Eucharist is an abominable blasphemy against the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Study and find out the truth now while you can.

You are welcome, good to hear; I read this particular post for inspiration almost daily... and he has so many more (a lot on Catherine Mectilde de Bar).

And by the way, although Father won't admit it, you can bet the ranch, he is the author of these "In Sinu Iesu, The Journal of A Priest" posts. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. :)

Of course she was tricked. She was most deceived and steeped in darkness. I could say much about the Teresa myth, but I will simply say that based on her own writings, Teresa was a lost soul. I pity her.

http://www.bereanbeacon.org/article/sorted/01_On_Catholicism/Mother%20Teresa%20-%20A%20Lost%20Soul.doc

If you go back to Genesis 3 and read the account of the Fall you will see that Satan tempted Eve and Eve “saw that the tree was good.”

“And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat...

Rather than simply trust God’s Word, Eve allowed Satan to undermine God’s Word and she relied on what she thought she saw. She thought she saw something good, but we know that good thing was actually evil.

If you want the truth you must lean on God’s Word, not your perceptions of what is good and right. The Psalmist said, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” When we go our own way, we are on the path of destruction. “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”

You can adore that wafer and sit before a dumb idol fashioned by the hands of men for the rest of your life and accomplish nothing toward the salvation of your soul. Do you know the real gospel, the only gospel that can save you? Have you ever really heard it? Look to Christ alone and be saved. Rest in Him!

Praise Jesus! I go to Adoration. I pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet. I had several miraculous experiences with these prayers. The greatest time is in these prayers and especially in adoration. We declare we have the holy Spirit 1 John 4 in every Prayer you can't say it without Christ and The Holy Spirit. Divine Mercy chaplet, Rosary and Sunday Mass declared Nicene Creed.

I have called out a spell caster under an unction of the Holy Spirit when she declared she was a christian. She had an entity talk for her when I asked her to say The Apostles Creed or Christ came in the Flesh. When she got to Born of the virgin(Flesh) that's when the entity declared "There are Many gods." This is the enemy of our souls. This what the Apostle John wrote in scripture for us all in Christ.

1 John 4

(ESV)

Test the Spirits

4 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already. 4 Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 5 They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them. 6 We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

We Real believing Catholic Christians have the Holy Spirit when we can successfully declare this in prayers.

Beware of others who tell you otherwise.

Praise Jesus who came in the Flesh/humanity by the virgin Mary.

Amen!!! AMEN!!! AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh I think I get what Rome teaches, to wit:

“And this faith has ever been in the Church of God, that, immediately after the consecration, the veritable Body of our Lord, and His veritable Blood, together with His soul and divinity, are under the species of bread and wine; but the Body indeed under the species of bread, and the Blood under the species of wine, by the force of the words; but the body itself under the species of wine, and the blood under the species of bread, and the soul under both, by the force of that natural connexion and concomitancy whereby the parts of Christ our Lord, who hath now risen from the dead, to die no more, are united together; and the divinity, furthermore, on account of the admirable hypostatical union thereof with His body and soul. Wherefore it is most true, that as much is contained under either species as under both; for Christ whole and entire is under the species of bread, and under any part whatsoever of that species; likewise the whole (Christ) is under the species of wine, and under the parts thereof.

“And because that Christ, our Redeemer, declared that which He offered under the species of bread to be truly His own body, therefore has it ever been a firm belief in the Church of God, and this holy Synod doth now declare it anew, that, by the consecration of the bread and of the wine, a conversion is made of the whole substance of the bread into the substance of the body of Christ our Lord, and of the whole substance of the wine into the substance of His blood; which conversion is, by the holy Catholic Church, suitably and properly called Transubstantiation.”

- Trent, Session XIII, Chapters 3-4

So according to Rome:

1) The bread becomes not just the body of Christ, but the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Christ, and no longer remains bread.

2) The wine becomes not just the blood of Christ, but the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Christ, and no longer remains wine.

These can be seen in the first three canons that Trent set forth in the same session:

CANON I.-If any one denieth, that, in the sacrament of the most holy Eucharist, are contained truly, really, and substantially, the body and blood together with the soul and divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ, and consequently the whole Christ; but saith that He is only therein as in a sign, or in figure, or virtue; let him be anathema.

CANON II.-If any one saith, that, in the sacred and holy sacrament of the Eucharist, the substance of the bread and wine remains conjointly with the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, and denieth that wonderful and singular conversion of the whole substance of the bread into the Body, and of the whole substance of the wine into the Blood-the species Only of the bread and wine remaining-which conversion indeed the Catholic Church most aptly calls Transubstantiation; let him be anathema.

CANON III.-If any one denieth, that, in the venerable sacrament of the Eucharist, the whole Christ is contained under each species, and under every part of each species, when separated; let him be anathema.
Notice that is not simply viewed as “the best explanation.” It’s so central to the Roman faith that if you deny it, you are under Trent’s anathema. It’s as central as the divinity of Christ is, to a Christian.

Notice that is not simply viewed as “the best explanation.” It’s so central to the Roman faith that if you deny it, you are under Trent’s anathema. It’s as central as to Rome as the divinity of Christ is to a Christian.

Of course I don’t buy into Rome’s wafer God. There is not one shred of biblical support for this position. It’s just another one of Rome’s lying wonders. It’s an abomination, a blasphemy.

Rome’s Doctrine of Transubstantiation - the Focal Point of the Reformation
http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=10304135711

“And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days. And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not: for false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.” (Mark 13:20-22)

“Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.” (2nd Thessalonians 2:9,10).

You can't destroy Jesus in the Eucharist with words, anymore than you can cause the wind to blow, or the sun to shine.

Of course I can’t. Scripture puts the lie to your christ. The Christ of Scripture is ruling and reigning on His throne at the right hand of the Father. He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. That cracker you worship has nothing to do with Christ Jesus. Your priests claim to bring Christ down from heaven, but consider Romans 10:6:

“But the righteousness based on faith says, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down).”

The Bible teaches that we don’t meet Christ in a sacrament, we have a relationship with him by his spirit not by things made by hands. The Bible also teaches that when you worship an idol you are worshipping the demon behind the idol.

Jonah 2:8 “Those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs.” (NIV)
