Feb. 14, 2014 (MonicaKelsey) - When someone says, "I am pro-life except in the case of rape or incest," they are using an oxymoron to describe themselves. This is in essence describing themselves as pro-choice and shows they have a lack of understanding of what being pro-life is truly about. Glenn Beck, who my husband listens to almost daily, is a good example of someone who is highly intelligent, but lacks the understanding of what it means to be pro-life with no exceptions. Let me explain.
First of all, let me tell you about who I am. I am a medic and a firefighter from Indiana. Four years ago at the age of 37 I reconnected with my birth mother, who placed me for adoption at birth. The information she entrusted me with the day we reconnected has changed the course of my life forever.
My birth mother was brutally raped at 17 and as a result became pregnant with me. But in 1972 my life was protected by a law that said that my life had value. And even though the law was in place, protecting me, my birth-mother succumbed to the pressure of carrying a child conceived out of rape and found herself at a back alley abortion clinic at the advice of her mother.
While standing in front of the man who was going to take my life, my birth mother changed her mind. She left this clinic and never looked back. Her mother hid her from the outside world. She gave birth to me and never even looked at me. But she gave me the greatest gift I have ever received, on top of my life. She gave me an amazing family. And for that I will forever be grateful.

What years are we talking about? THe 40s or 50s?
And if that so-called Catholic Church was that bad why was it never reported? And, if it was reported and the abuse didn’t stop you or any other parishoner that was devoted to the faith could have found another parish to attend. That’s one of the good things about being Catholic, if you don’t like your priest or any other things that go on in the church, there is always another Catholic Church down the on the corner, with parishoners and a parish priest that actually try to live their faith, and have not been taken in by the protestantism/modernism that has destroyed many Catholic parishes in this country. And Catholic faith formation starts at home. Why did your parents put up with such a lousy parish?
Me thinks you painted the entire Catholic faith as being no good because of a very bad parish that you attended. So you should have left and found a REAL CATHOLIC CHURCH, not one that been taken over by cafeteria catholics.
No, I am for the victim choosing to raise the child or adopt the child out.
Don’t try and box me in, because you are fail.
It’s her choice, not yours.
I don’t support it.
What I support is leaving the decision to the victim of the rape.
If that’s what she chooses, then that’s what she chooses.
I don’t think it would be what I would choose, but I also haven’t been raped and impregnated, so yeah.
The point is that it isn’t your choice to make until it happens to you.
Well, they were our neighbors, not some people in an airport.
Not even people who adhere to the true religion are perfect.
***
That is such boloney Ansell how you spin this and take it out of context how someone who never even been in one of our temples seems to think they know what goes on there...
Every temple I have attended over 30 years, unless I was with my ward members I had no clue what were the status of other members.
When one makes covenant to the Lord they are asked if they have been faithful to their vows, and the renewal is every two years, everyone is the same in the Lord's eyes no one is an elitist, the house of the Lord is for everyone who makes and honor their covenant.
When you are in the temple every one dresses the same no one knows if one is plumber or a lawyer etc.
______
(such as converting Catholic Popes).
***
no one can convert another so that was a falsehood Ansell it is a gift offer vicariously just like when you are born Jesus made a vicarious gift to you to receive it or to decline.
The conversion come by the power of the Holy Ghost no other way.
No one is forcing anyone we all still have our agency beyond the veil to choose.
I assumed that, I wasn’t talking about anyone at an airport, I was describing friends and acquaintances, and neighbors.
I wonder if you are Catholic, Mormonism has no better friends than rank and file Catholics, it is also where they find the most fertile fields for conversion, on FR, Mormonism collects a lot of Catholic supporters.
What was baloney, are you claiming that anyone can attend the Temples?
Tell me specifically what is untrue in the post you said is untrue.
Here it is again———”Of course, read the post, I described him as being a temple Mormon, like Beck and Mitt Romney, that means they are all of the holiest and most devout Mormons, and they are examined separately by a Bishop and the stake president every two years to prove it, and are then issued official ID which they must renew annually to enter the secret and holy Temples which are forbidden to average Mormons and partake in the secret ceremonies of the elites, (such as converting Catholic Popes). “”
I suspect the reason is that many Catholics are impressed with the character of Mormons they have met.
Also, at least in my experience, Mormons don’t engage in Catholic-bashing, probably because they didn’t break away from the Catholic Church and don’t feel the need to kick at it constantly.
Also, Mormons have lifted Catholic moral teaching nearly intact, so there are lots of points of agreement.
Wow, I wished I could say this is the first time that I have seen a Catholic take such a stand for the polytheists who do so well in converting Catholics, but it isn’t.
Do you realize that they are converting Christians to a non-Christian religion?
You knew that they weren't attendees if they didn't have ID proving they were temple Mormons, either their status was being a temple Mormon, or they were not members of the temple, so one of course knows the status, for instance, only a temple Mormon can watch her daughters wedding, while a common Mormon can't.
When one makes covenant to the Lord they are asked if they have been faithful to their vows, and the renewal is every two years,
They are reexamined every two years, they must be interviewed by the Bishop, and the Stake president, and one of the requirements of holiness, is that they give at least 10% of their income to Mormonism, and the average Mormon is forbidden the temple and must worship in plain buildings.

So you don't deny that your religion tries to baptize the Popes into Mormonism, you merely point out that it is up to them to accept.
Since Pope Pius XII was baptized three times and also "sealed" in eternal marriage to a Mrs Eugenio Pacelli. we can assume that he accepted the Mormon "conversion", can't we?
I explain it to you Ansell you ignored my reply what you said is not accurate.
I have been going to the temple over 30 years and you never been there and you are telling me what happens etc this is nonsense.
the Lord said, Where are two or three meet in my name I am there with you
So they see the Bishop and the Stake president what is the problem the temple is available to who ever wants to make and keep their covenants.
What you friends tell you, they are out there with you with bias and confused knowledge.
It is one place on the face of the earth where contentious spirits is not welcome, as well as the woes of the world.
No unclean thing can enter the House of the Lord, if they do under false pretends, it is at their own peril, the Lord will not be mocked.
Luke 19 ...and cleanses the temple again.
45 And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought;
46 Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house
; of prayer: but ye have made it a den; of thieves.
47 And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,
48 And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.
To keep you from doing the Mormon shuffle, let’s just pin something down, twice you seem to have told us that a Temple Recommend isn’t needed to be members of the temples, so you have no idea what the status is of the members.
Is that what you are claiming?
Tell me specifically something that I have said that isn’t true and accurate, cut and paste the statement.

I am sorry I am not one of those who are star struck so I don’t go around trying to baptized those I don’t know or even know.
There are people like that it must have been 3 different people the same person could not have done that.
If the Pope was baptized I bet it was by his sir name not Pope so&so that would have been easy to catch.
Who cares what you do personally, what we do know is that your religion baptized Pope Pius XII three times and also “sealed” him in eternal marriage to a Mrs Eugenio Pacelli.
That means the pope accepted conversion from his Catholic faith to Mormonism, and he is now married as well.
We don’t know if Pope John Paul II accepted his baptism or not.
I didn’t say I was in favor of Catholics’ converting to Mormonism. I said I can understand why so many Catholics have a favorable view of Mormons. I have a favorable view of Mormons—not Mormonism. I think Mormonism is crazy.
I can understand why Glenn Beck became a Mormon. He was a bad Catholic, a horrible person, and a drunk. He encountered Mormons who helped him straighten out his life, something he did not encounter in the Catholic Church.
I think that Glenn Beck chose to reject Christ for ugly reasons.
He does intend to become a God for instance.
Some half wit thug rapes my daughter or sister...end the gene line. Execute the rapist.

Well good for her!:)
You know this is a screwy stories but on the other hand it shows that even fruitcakes can go to the temple.
So it blow a hole in your thoery only elitist can attend the temple.
I am sure Mrs. fruitcake or anti LDS will not be returning to the temple soon!:)
I don’t know what Mormons really mean by “becoming a God.”
Catholics and Orthodox believe the Eucharist “divinizes” the believer. I.e., it furthers the process of sharing in the Divine Nature. Namely, Charity, which is the Form of God.
Not that any Catholic would ever guess this from the Catholic liturgy post-1965.
