It has been the aim of the Democrat party since they lost the Presidential election in 2004 to subvert the Christian doctrine with the claim that Jesus was a Socialist. Their goal is to convince Christians that their Social agenda is morally equivalent with the teachings and life of Jesus Christ. They even went so far as to create handbooks to be distributing to pastors of churches that will show them how to use various Bible verses to promote what they call "Christian Socialism." Taking this into consideration, it shouldn't surprise anyone that many Christians across America were fooled into voting for Obama in 2008.
Add that to the vast amount of Americans who have a limited knowledge of history and hardly no Biblical knowledge, it is not surprising that many have fallen for the misinformation on what Jesus taught (and for whom the teachings were given). These Biblical revisionists have become especially adept at cherry picking Scripture to suit their agenda. Hence, many have come to misunderstand the gospel of Christ by equating it with modern day Socialism.
My first point of contention with the idea that Christ was a socialist, is His teachings and the example of His life. Throughout the time that Christ lived with His disciples, He never worked. Instead he was dependent upon the charity and good hearts of those who surrounded Him. Now that is not to say Jesus was lazy or a bum either. Jesus was always about His Fathers business, and that business was the salvation of mankind. You will find nowhere in the Scriptures, Jesus telling His followers to rely upon those who are not willing to hear the gospel or share what they have. If the people refused to hear

Ok. Sounds good.
I do believe a lot of these guys mean well. As a means of helping people. I agree they are wrong 100%, but I do not believe they are demonic but ignorant. I could be wrong. I am not qualified to determine who is condemned and who is saved.
Interpretation of the scriptures is widespread and varied.
A look at your posting history reveals that trolling with endless questions aimed at a passive argument, is your form of trolling.
Your primary issue seems to be Christianity.
You have it completely backwards.
The biggest single indicator of how someone votes is, are they Christian, or anti-Christian.
Evangelical Christians for instance are close to an 80% conservative vote, while the atheists are about 80% or more liberal voters.
As far as you, I didn’t say anything about how you vote, I said “”The VAST majority of people who feel like you, vote democrat.””.
How can you say that our will is not coerced when we have the threat of eternal, ETERNAL, torture thrust at us. Are you saying that that does not constitute physical coercion? I don’t want to put words in your mouth. Is that what you are contending?
That is just two different ways of saying the same exact thing. I think you just made my point. I think you just agreed with me but you are trying to hedge. I mean the government tells you the truth of what to expect if you don’t follow their plan. A mobster tells a store owner what to expect if he doesn’t follow the program.
Well I keep on asking questions because I never get direct answers. No my primary issue is with faith as an epistemology so I would necessarily have an issue with Christianity. But that is not what I am discussing now. I’d like to keep the discussion on the topic of the fundamental principles underlying Socialism and whether Jesus advocated them. I contend that he did.
Right. Are you a lawyer? It all depends what is, is.
I was born and raised and am proud of my Christian heritage. You do NOT KNOW HOW I FEEL. I was cautioning that there are so called Christian leaders (and powerful ones at that) who back socialism and amnesty, and caution is needed around these people.
I just realized you wrote Judas, not Jesus.
Wow my bad, and I need to slow down when I read.
Sorry for my error. I would actually almost agree with you now that I realize who your were talking about.
Why are you pretending to quote me when you made up those words yourself?
That is twice that you have lied about what I posted.
Now what is the REAL quote?
Right, just as I described, it is your trolling method for over 3 years, you aren’t looking for answers, you are looking to argue without getting banned.
My posting history has nothing to do with the question at hand. If what I have posted today on this thread is grounds for getting me banned then why don’t you do it. Until then could you answer the question for me. Does God use physical coercion? It is a yes or no answer. Then you can expand on your answer if you want. If you don’t want to answer that’s cool too.
LOL.
Like I said, this is your form of trolling, years of the same passive form of attack with a never changing agenda.
Ansel, I’m not attacking anything. How can you construe my question as an attack? If you’ll answer the question then we can move on to the subject of my posting history or anything else you would care to discuss. Or we can go our separate ways and be friends. Its all fine.
They have ultimate power over everyone. They aren’t elected. They rule by force.
"And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!" (Matthew chapter 10:14-15)Normally I do not end a conversation this way with those who claim to be curious and say they want to know, but with you, I am compelled to do as my Lord commands me to do. I am shaking off the dust from my proverbial sandals and saying, Good Day Sir.

Ignore comment #95, and instead go with comment #96.
I messed #95 up but fixed it in #96.
Sorry.
Yes I did post a thread almost exactly a year ago. It was a very exciting experience and I wanted to share it. I’ve wanted to see one my whole life and now I have. In fact I saw it along with others every day for eight days in a row. I tried to get video and digital photos but it is a surprisingly hard thing to do. I don’t know what that has to do with this discussion. If you don’t want to spend any more time that’s OK. Have a great weekend. Good premises.
“If, like all errors, socialism contains a certain element of truth (and this the Sovereign Pontiffs have never denied), it is nevertheless founded upon a doctrine of human society peculiarly its own, which is opposed to true Christianity. Religious socialism, Christian socialism, are expressions implying a contradiction in terms. No one can be at the same time a sincere Catholic and a socialist properly so called.”
