Jimmy Swaggart made me Catholic!
Tim Staples was your typical protestant, on fire for his faith—until he met the “wrong” marine: a Catholic man who was both willing and able to defend his faith. Let Tim tell you his story...why Tim was defending the Catholic church during his time at Jimmy Swaggart Bible College and how this school expedited the process of Tim becoming Catholic!
Seems a sane way to cope with the near-incessant back-and-forth of the same 'ol same 'ol.
Carry on
*Takes another third of a shot*
“This man abandoned him”
Quite the opposite: You misread him; he left the Catholic institutions and found Christ.
No doubt you could.
You can look around the world and find hundreds of millions of former Catholics who left and found Christ and now fellowship with local assemblies. Heck, you can find millions in Brazil alone, not to mention America.
"Forty years ago, Brazil's Catholics stood at 92 percent of the population. In 2000, that figure dropped to around 74 percent, and a decade later it dwindled to less than 65 percent. Protestantism, on the other hand, increased from 15.4 percent of the population in 2000 to 22.2 percent in 2010, a gain of 42.3 million followers."
I'm excited when anyone comes to faith in Christ.

Hokay, so what church is the true church founded by Jesus and as discipled by the Jewish apostles ? Where would one find it today ?
Well, when you take out those and the ones that fiddle with little altar boys, there are only about 17 left...
For which church did you leave the Catholic church ?
” escape the error of the Roman Catholic system “
Interesting, up to that point.

Is your church the true apostolic church ? If you say yes, please identify it by denomination or sub denomination.
There is no such thing as an "organization" which meets your requirements. Some gatherings have a few, others have many, many have none. The true body of Christ is being assembled by the Holy Spirit and is comprised of all of those who have been (and are being) rescued from themselves because they were laid hold of before the foundation of the world. Paul could not always tell who these were, and Peter at times acted like he was not one (Gal. 2), but Jesus knows His own. Do you need more?
+1
Yes, I need more than that. The Jewish apostles, at the command of, and with the express authority of, the Holy One of Israel, shepherded real local churches/assemblies that shared the same doctrine and had unity of fellowship. Your answer is that the true church is not really anywhere one could identify, nor are you willing to publicly claim your local church is the true church. Catholics, by definition, publicly maintain a claim of apostolic succession. Who else, besides the Eastern Orthodox, does that ?
What Rush would call “parade of human debris”.
Wait, is popcorn bad for the liver?
“Only 50 priests out of how many worldwide? These were folks who wanted the Protestant view of Scripture where any person is free to crack open the Bible”
And yet, “famed” Catholic apologist Scott Hahn, who was formerly a Protestant, agrees with feminist nuns and puts forward “feminine Holy Spirit” theology, amongst other stupid stuff.
Maybe you Papists shouldn’t bother cracking open the Bible “whenever you want” instead?
