I hope not. I’m very concerned about this meeting. I don’t think Pope Francis really would support Obama, but sometimes it doesn’t appear to me that the Pope thinks about the effect of his words before he opens his mouth. In addition, he seems to have no fondness for the US and I think he may try to show this to gain street creds. Of course, Obama hates the US too, so they may agree in this subject.

Also, the Pope’s only American advisors now are Cardinal O’Malley, who is sort of a mixed bag, and Cardinal Wuerl, who would probably be more eager to kiss the hand of Obama or any Dem than that of the Pope himself.
