The Swiss Guard made advances on me when I visited the Vatican.
Prove they didn't.

I always wondered why they had Swiss and not Italian guards.
I know the kings of France at one time had Scottish guards. I think other Kings had guards from other countries too.
Maybe from the memory of the praetorian guards killing the emperor so they wanted guards who had no personal axe to grind or use for that matter.

"One night, sometime after midnight, I received a call on my mobile phone. The person on the other end said he was a cardinal and asked me to come to his room," he said. Oh my. Sounds like the media have officially released their new publication, "Vatican Hustler". Complete with "real" letters an' everything!

to me the guard sounds like a typical bitchy, aggrieved homosexual who may or may not have been propositioned at some point, but probably left his job (or was fired) for other reasons, and now wants to take down as many people and cause as big a stir as he can within the Church as revenge

Clericalism. Clericalism is the problem, I tell ya. Clericalism and too much rule following. And devotion to the Latin mass. Clericalism, rule following, and devotion to the Latin mass. Those are the problems with the Church.
