...Many today use innuendo, outright lies and other forms of deception to confuse and divide in order to control followers...
The end result?...About 80% of the Church succumbed to lies and deceit, and either followed Joe Tkach or went home in confusion...-most...became lost to history, spiritually dying where they sat. The remaining 20% fell into following various bickering, disagreeing splinter leaders teaching selectedpreferred!parts of the truth...
Fast forward to 1993-1998, to sample one splinter. An evangelist (Roderick Meredith) arose and came to power in the Global Church of God. This second new leader also promised...he would uphold the truth as the Church understood it... at Mr. Armstrongs death. Yet he began almost immediately teaching numerous false doctrinesmany of them big...Again, all of this happened on top of shocking revelations about his personal character...
The end result?...About 80% of the Church succumbed to lies and deceit, and either followed Rod Meredith or went home in confusion...
There were alwaysalwayswolves in sheeps clothing around Herbert W. Armstrong. Do you doubt this?...he reported in his autobiography about how often leaders and others stabbed him in the back and betrayed him all through his Oregon years. This pattern never really ended as the next 40 years continued. Have you forgotten how many top ministers and administrators completely fell away after his death?...other once top ministers and administrators have severely compromised his teachings since his death? Obviously, this has also been true of scores of thousands of former WCG members...
Some say Mr. Armstrong would not do what I am doing. I say he would! If I could, I would write every member in LCG, UCG, COGwa, PCG, and every other splinter and sliver, about the literally hundreds of wolves who are lying (doctrinally) to them from pulpits in the name of Herbert W. Armstrong...

ANother one??
I don't think I can; since I'm not a Catholic.
Mod; can you clarify?
I’m not the whale you’re looking for.
The person who starts a caucus thread must be a member of the caucus.
It was jest with a splash of enigma.
Thank you.
But what was it wrapped in?
Bacon?
Nope; try again...
Agreed. It was a red herring ploy, a misdirection to draw us in. We’re in the middle of combatting heresy on FR, and the guy who authored the heretical thread opens up a caucus right in the middle of discussions of a “heresy” caucus tag. It’s a demonstration of a form of thinking that we fall into, I think it’s called lateral thinking.
IJMC - Silly Mind Tricks
Silly Rabbit, Trix are for kids! And how could I go for a big bowl of
Trix right now. Nice colored sugar puffs to bring in the sun with. It’s
trying to come up, I do thank someone for waking it up. -dave
Try this it is really cool. See if you are a lateral thinker. Scroll
down slowly, otherwise you’ll see the answers. This works better
verbally, but try it:
Name the colour of the following things as fast as you can:
snow
paper
clouds
chalk
wedding gown
Say the word “white” to yourself 10 times fast.
QUICK!!!!!!!! WHAT DO COWS DRINK!!!
Contrary to popular belief, cows do NOT drink milk. They drink water.
Just follow the instructions below:
DON’T scroll down too fast — do it slowly, and follow the
instructions below exactly, and do the math in your head as fast as you
can. It worked on us.
FOLLOW these instructions one at a time and as QUICKLY as you can!
What is:
2+2?
4+4?
8+8?
16+16?
Quick! Pick a number between 12 and 5. Got it?
Now scroll down...
The number you picked was 7 right?
Isn’t that weird???
Another one...
What is:
1+5 ?
2+4 ?
3+3 ?
4+2 ?
5+1 ?
Now repeat saying the number 6 to yourself as fast as you can for 15
seconds. then page down
QUICK!!! THINK OF A VEGETABLE! Then page down.
You’re thinking of a carrot right?
If not, you’re among the 2% of the population whose minds are warped
enough to think of something else. 98% of people will answer with
carrot when given this exercise.
Then it appears you have a job to do. Dig them out for us all to see.
***Here is where it happened. Notice how the recipient of the post issued crickets but now he’s opening “sabbatarian” caucus threads.

Thanks to Greetings_puny_humans for bringing me up to speed on this latest tactic. In the past, I had noticed that various cults would finally say No to the question of “Do you accept that Jesus is (Jehovah) God?” I had asked JW’s the question and they would say yes, Jesus is God, but when asked if they think Jesus is Jehovah God, they say no. Even Bahai faith, who will say they believe in Buddha, Mohammed, Jesus, Moses, Confucius (basically everybody) ... those guys will finally say, “No, Jesus is not God”. This was my first exposure to the UCG cult which seems organized around a very fine antitrinitarian viewpoint.
But to answer your question - But how do you respond to the TEACHINGS if those TEACHINGS are so buried but the responder is operating in the open on FR? - start a thread, point out the problems, call the Mods.
***I have started threads in the past on the deity of Christ. I have kept up a keyword of ‘historicity’. This latest twist is new to me and the right person to open up such a thread is someone familiar with the UCG heresy.
1. Without data; you are appearing to mindread...
***True enough. Such things are allowed on open threads in the news forum, but not on the religion forum.
2. Awfully close to calling the PERSON a liar...
***Satan is a liar, the father of lies. Jesus calls false teachers ‘sons of satan’. So it appears on the religion forum by that by that syllogism I can call the person a son of satan, a satanist, a son of a liar, but not a liar outright. It just gets so confusing.
;^)
Actually, it appears things have changed because the caucus tag was changed to UCG Sabbatarian. That’s basically Heretical Christians operating with a caucus tag on FR.
[UCG Sabbatarian Caucus] The Sabbath in the Age to Come
These “Sabbatarians” are anti-Trinity.
[UCG Sabbatarian Caucus] The Sabbath in the Age to Come
And it looks like we have a thread where this can be hashed out.

Possible but that thread you linked is “Ecumenical.” No flaming on ecumenical threads.
Good enough for me.
