What part of “she” makes you think the Holy Ghost was referring to Jesus?

We have no way of knowing whether or not Mary had any doubts. I think Pope Francis was just trying to make the point that Mary was a human, and that she may have initially had doubt as to whether or not to believe the Angel.

All we know is that she decided to believe and trust the Angel and obeyed; and that she carried and gave birth to our Savior.

So why does Pope Francis take it step farther than what the Gospel tells us?

Ebb, beyond what I wrote in my first paragraph, I have no idea.

Wow, would have never expected that from a Catholic medal.

What part of Messiah refers to Mary in the real world? Did Mary crush Satan's head, if so where?

Genesis 3:15 New International Version (NIV)

15 And I will put enmity

between you and the woman,

and between your offspring[a] and hers;

he will crush[b] your head,

and you will strike his heel.”

Genesis 3:15

New King James Version (NKJV)

15 And I will put enmity

Between you and the woman,

And between your seed and her Seed;

He shall bruise your head,

And you shall bruise His heel.”

Genesis 3:15

King James Version (KJV) 15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Genesis 3:15

American Standard Version (ASV)

15 and I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed: he shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Your version is a function of Mariology.

My version is the True version, not one of the many protestant versions.

That medal has been commonly worn by Catholics since 1830; but not so often since VC II.

Of the three or so passages describing a direct interface between Jesus Christ and Mary, in each one, it strongly appears Mary is not in fellowship with God, but is being tacitly directed by the Son of God for her improper thinking.

In each case, she doesn’t appear to heed His strong suggestions.

IMHO, if Scripture was to record how a believer is to respond to an out of fellowship brethern in senior authority in a divine institution, His behavior with Mary provides us with outstanding examples of how such people are to be treated.

I’ve also noticed how those who worship Mary, tend to place her position as more sanctified than Christ as the object of their devotion, i.e., they also are out of fellowship.

So your version has Mary as the Messiah. When did she crush the serpent's head?

My version was written by the Holy Ghost; not Martin Luther nor King James.

Now that is a funny accusation. This pope is supposed to be guilty of what? Being “his own pope”? Say what?

I can say one thing, all this intrigue illustrates in spades how the Roman Catholic Church thinks Christianity is All About Them.

That would be an inherited privilege of any Christian. But Crazy Evangelicals don’t edit their bibles to put references to that where they don’t belong.

Which put things in there which weren’t in the Hebrew, of course.

**All we know is that she decided to believe and trust the Angel and obeyed; and that she carried and gave birth to our Savior.**

Amen.

Her question of the Archangel Gabriel was not one of doubt like Zechariah’s was.

As grace was infused into Adam from the first moment of his creation, so that he never had experience of his natural poverty till sin reduced him to it; so was grace given from the first in still ampler measure to Mary, and she never incurred, in fact, Adam's deprivation. She began where others end, whether in knowledge or in love. She was from the first clothed in sanctity, sealed for perseverance, luminous and glorious in God's sight, and incessantly employed in meritorious acts, which continued till her last breath. Hers was emphatically "the path of the just, which, as the shining light, goeth forward and increaseth even to the perfect day"; and sinlessness in thought, word, and deed, in small things as well as great, in venial matter as well as grievous, is surely but the natural and obvious sequel of such a beginning. If Adam might have kept himself from sin in his first state, much more shall we expect immaculate perfection in Mary.

Please note what's beneath the Blessed Mother's feet.

Yeah, 1830. What a cool coin. You don't base your theology on a coin, I hope.

The idea that the Blessed Mother might possibly have desired to accuse God of a lie

More anti-Catholic garbage. Such an idea is not expressed in the homily, which instead praises her silence. Here is a report on the complete homily:

Pope Francis: Silence Reveals the Mystery of God's Plan.
