I’m concerned about the attitudes of the Millennials and younger who view this issue as a civil right rather than spiritual. I found this out recently talking to my early 20’s grandson who was raised in a Christian home. They have been emotionalized to the point of being selectively brainwashed and influenced. The author ignores this demographic.
Yes, the brainwashing often seems irreversible, but I find an even worse and more moronic trend in young people. They don’t think of it as a civil right, but a human right! Clearly kids these days no more know what the word ‘right’ means than they know what ‘tolerance’ means.
Of course, I only work on God-given rights. Anything made up by man is ultimately fleeting and easily revocable.
I’m sorry to read that. It’s another reason I’m glad I don’t have any children. With all the cultural brainwashing and the whole “everbody’s jumping off a cliff! I better do so too because everybody else is doing it!” type groupthink I see among the young, it would be especially painful to see a descendant of mine doing so.
Two words: public schools.
Your grandson is proof positive that the leftist indoctrination forced upon school children is effective enough to undo all of the careful home education and moral teaching of parents, grandparents, and pastors.
There are other contributing forces, but those in the public schools are by far, the most powerful, and should be avoided by decent patriots at all costs.
When their lives will be ruined by Obama, where else are they going to turn? Some for a free handout in anger that wont come through and others to better things for the after life and into future generations.
