I made the mistake of watching this CNN special last night about the first 400 years of Christianity. I kept thinking why are there so many "experts" being interviewed that are treating the story of Jesus as a big joke. After it was over I looked up just one of the "experts" that CNN was using for this garbage of a special on Jesus. His name is Burt Erhman and he has no particular religion and is an AGNOSTIC. But what really stands about this creep is he is the "Distinguished Professor of Religious Studies" at UNC. This is the type of leftist whachos that are teaching our sons and daughters about Jesus of Nazareth. So a word to the wise. Never watch any type of program on Christianity that CNN airs. Never.

CNN’s been making a lot of garbage “documentaries” as of late. One of the most egregious and seemingly ubiquitous is this “Blackfish” hit piece on killer whales (which are mammals, by the way).

I guess they’re trying to pump their viewership numbers.

I didn’t watch Blackfish, but I know what it is about. No matter what, I don’t believe that orcas should be kept in tanks for humans to watch and be entertained. Do you agree?

Will never make the mistake again of watching any documentary on Christianity that CNN airs.

But what burns me up is knowing atheists/agnostics are in charge of “religion education studies” in American universities. No wonder Christianity is dying all across America.

I don’t have a TV, I am curious as to what kind of distortion these people are putting out about the first 400 years, could you give a thumbnail sketch?

Orcas are no different than lions, tigers, bears, hyenas, elephants, or any of the myriad animals we keep in enclosures around the world.

As a Floridian and a seasonal visitor to Sea World, I can tell you that while Sea World does make a profit off of entertainment through the use of orcas and other marine mammals and animals, they’re also a leader in marine conservation and animal rehabilitation. Florida universities such as USF, UF, and UM use the wildlife resources offered by Sea World regularly, and Sea World is known around the state as an excellent employer and charitable organization.

I don’t know enough to say definitively if I am for or against the captivity of orcas, but since the animals are not abused or otherwise mistreated, I will say that the deaths of a few trainers are no more than occupational hazards that come with the handling of animals that are bigger, stronger, faster, and sometimes smarter than humans.

They basically said that Jesus was just one of many Jews running around saying he was the son of God, and that many could do miracles, so why believe Jesus. He was also married to Mary Magdeline and wanted a much larger role for women in the Church, but the mean old men that were responsible for compiling the 4 gospels in the Bible didn’t like women. And

Actually, killer whales are a bit different. The tanks they are kept in are just too darn small, and the orcas do not adapt well to captivity.

In any case, even if I hooked up my TV, I would still never watch CNN for anything - entertainment, news, whatever, I would not watch.

But since my TV only plays DVDs, can I suggest Perry Mason or Have Gun, Will Travel?

I’m not a marine biologist, I don’t have any friends who are, and I’ve not done any research on the subject. I do know, however, that orcas in captivity at Sea World live as long if not longer than their seafaring counterparts. I know that isn’t an especially strong statistic in relation to their demeanor, but I can’t comment on anything outside of what I hear or know to be correct.
