Why I believe the Rapture of the Church
will take place between December 25, 2013,
and January 4, 2014
The Lord has been giving me pieces to a puzzle for the last 13 years, leading me to the date for the firstfruits Rapture of the Church. The puzzle ends between December 25, 2013, and January 4, 2014. I very strongly believe that the Rapture will take place on January 3/4, 2014. However, it is possible that the puzzle can end as early as December 25, 2013.
I think if my memory is correct, the rapture preaching is based on a section from one of Paul’s letters to the Thessialonians.
OMG. You are on a religion thread ? I am impressed with your diversity.
***Well, you’ve discovered my hobby: Inductive Reasoning. You should see me on a UFO thread when I’m pushing the theory that flying saucers are simply a secret boundary-layer control fighter aircraft that the Allies appropriated from the Nazis at the end of WWII.
So.... everything but the last six words has happened.
***I don’t think the last 6 words have happened. There are still unreached people groups. But this may be the very last generation for whom that is true. Reading the signs of the times...
Not all of them will fly away. Some will hover.

AMEN.
Good News/Bad News joke
The good news is that Jesus is coming back tonight.
The bad news is... He’s coming to Salt Lake City.
Merry Christmas!
Phew, that’s a relief! According to that picture, it looks like we’ll all be raptured fully clothed. I’ve heard some people claim that after the Rapture, there will be little piles of clothes everywhere. I assume there will be toupees, false teeth, breast implants, etc. in those piles. How embarrassing, and what a mess for the left behind to clean up!
;-)
Seriously, what does God want with these old bodies, these mere shells? Why wouldn’t he just rapture our souls? I’ve always wondered that.
BIG no-no to pick dates.
Rapture to you is a hoax??
Because God didn't set a time, he set a condition.
Which means it's ALL UP TO US.
Which is one of the foremost principles of the BIBLE, and the one most often missed.
what about fruit from the FIG TREE!..../s
AMEN!
The Main and Plain things ...dont get much “airtime” on internet forums...or Television...
one of this thread’s authors links... was to a message ..on Free Republic where he was posting about 2012...being of some import.. that having been posted in....yes 2012
as for me I shall Watch and Pray!
Actually, it was “all nations”. A funny thing happened after 911. I remember it striking me as odd at the time. Billy Graham, at the memorial, gave the rudiments of the Gospel. The TV broadcasters were proclaiming it the first broadcast to go to every nation in the world. Is that the sign? I am not wise enough to know. I will watch and wait, and ponder these things in my heart.
Similar to the ‘eye of the needle’ and the camel.
It had nothing to do with an actual needle.
IF you are coming from a Dispensational Premillenial position.. sure.. your whole Eschatological view is CENTERED around the “Rapture”. Yes, all Christians believe in the message of 1st Thessalonians chapter 4.. However, many of us who are also Bible Believing Conservative Christians have a different view of the TIMEING of this event.. many of us are NOT Dispensational Premillenialists.. we may be Amillenialists or Post-Millenialists.. we believe that the Rapture will be ONE event among other events, occuring on that LAST DAY of Judgement..the Second Coming.. this is NOT a new view..rather, this is the historic REFORMATION view of Christian eschatology.. (you may want to read LAST DAYS MADNESS, by Dr. Gary DeMar..containing an EXCELLENT study of Matthew 24.)
Next time I notice you on a UFO thread, I would like to debate you on that theory.
Where do you find this clearly in scripture, rather than on someones chart? And a peace treaty? This is a covenant that is confirmed (Daniel 9:27), which refers to the crucifixion, hence the ending of sacrifice.
I would contest that there are multiple places that indicate the timing of the rapture, and plainly:
John 6:39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
2 Thess 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
1 Cor 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
Matt 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Revelation mentions "7" numerous times, but NEVER in terms of years. The tribulation is only 42 months or 1260 days.
Study the scriptures, not charts.
A Great Example of that Idiomatic ..... well.... idiom
Too often the Bible is given a “wooden” literal” “translation”..
I can not remember where the scripture about telling that mountain to move” is located but its not a physical mountain that being referred to as far as O know. were told that if we have sufficient faith that the mountain SHALL move...and as far as I know....there havent been any reported mountain movements...physical mountains at any rate.
