Do you know what else thats settled then tonight? This hue and cry and controversy that has been spawned by the devil to try to bring dissension within the body of Christ that we are gods. I am a little god. I have His name. I am one with Him. Im in covenant relation. I am a little god. Critics be gone! (You are everything that He is.) (Paul Crouch, Praise the Lord program, July 7, 1986). Same lie Satan fed Adam and Eve in the Garden.
This is also one of the teachings of the Word of Faith movement.
Blasphemy. People need to be using a lot of discernment and getting into the word to make sure their theology is right.
That clearly isn't happening. Too many people are depending on experience and using that to measure Scripture instead of using Scripture to measure their experience.

Now there is a great tagline, mom. You hit it out of the ballpark.

Crouch’s golden thrones (as seen on his TV show) seemed to echo a certain self-aggrandizement found in Rome. Hmmm.

The Catholic Church and Mormons also teach that we are god or will become gods. They leave the impression that we are to become like God. In the Old Testament there is a word that is used where judges were called gods but its not the same.

Too many people are depending on experience and using that to measure Scripture instead of using Scripture to measure their experience. Seems so.
More folks would rather be praised into Hell; than rebuked into Heaven.
