But we who suffer because of the sins of others are not to wish them ill, but must pray for their salvation. If we are filled with bitterness and resentment toward them, we are allowing their sin to contaminate us with the mortal sins called Envy and Wrath, which makes Satan rejoice doubly. Instead we are to pray that God fils our hearts with forgiveness and peace.
