The only individual I ever met who defended Communism was a Methodist minister. He said Communism was merely "an agreement among a group of people to cooperate."
Shortly after our conversation he was shipped off to New York to work for the National Council of Churches.

I can’t argue with you on that! The so-called leadership makes me sick. They follow the world and hide it behind terms like “reconciling” and phrases like “God reveals himself anew with each generation”. The typical rank-and-file Methodist doesn’t even know what’s going on, so when I read these posts about “the Methodists”, I think of those people (whom I represent at AC) and not the privileged elders and bishops. I also think of those wonderful Methodists in Africa who are trying to keep us holy, even as the American jurisdictions try to march us off to hell.
