Marriage is not a government function in Israel.
If two secular sodomites (and we have a lot of them in Israel —— about 1/2 our population is secular) want to cohabitate and call it a cabbage, and enter a contractual arrangement among themselves to that effect, they can do it.

I’ve been reading a bit about the controversy surrounding rabbinical marriage in Israel, as well as the movement to have civil marriage. Gay marriage is a great argument in support of rabbinical marriage!
