I see a possibility for Christianity to take back Halloween as part of Hallowmas, including All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.
Imagine Halloween as an effort to exhort those who died in sin but are repentant, to come forth in the evening, so that if they are truly repentant, they will meet the spirits of the Saints on All Saints’ Day, who may then work to redeem them.
The whether they are redeemed, or are not and return to the grave; the path will be cleared for the righteous dead on All Souls’ Day.
