Why did Stanley and his wife get divorced?

I don’t know if a reason has ever been given officially but the wife wanted the divorce and I had heard that she was the unhappy one in the marriage.
I will look around and see if I can find anything more specific.
always wondered that myself. plus he didn’t step down as he had said he would if he ever divorced.
You can find all sorts of stuff, but the TRUE reason has not been published, AFAIK.
She just wanted out is what I came away with when I searched for the answer. Her needs were not being met.

I always like Charles Stanley myself. Thought he was a true man of God. Then I heard he got divorced, it really shook me up. Made me realize not to put faith in man but in God alone. I wish Mr. Stanley the best and God’s blessings.
