People who are pro-choice believe that they are just defending the right of the mother to decide whether her unborn child lives or dies; thus, pro-choice. At the same time, they deny that they have any responsibility for the death of the unborn child if the mother decides to abort. This is nonsense. By supporting their right to choose, you are, in effect, implying that you believe either choice, life or death, is equally good and moral, and to the extent that you influence them to agree with you, you share in whatever decision they make. The only way you can avoid a shared responsibility in a decision to abort is to take a stand against abortion, i.e., to be pro-life.

I would say that the simplest way to decide whether it’s ok is to use the exact same arguments, but substitute slavery for the term abortion.
Try it.
The vast majority of pregnant women had a choice in whether or not to have inseminating sex.
It’s not OK for the baby.
That’s what I always say.
Is it OK to excerpt your blog when you could post the full content?
GrumbleBummer has mental issues...serious ones. Jeez, what a compulsive bore.
6 a.m., day after Christmas
I throw some clothes on in the dark
The smell of cold
Car seat is freezing
The world is sleeping
I am numb
Up the stairs to the apartment
She is balled up on the couch
Her mom and dad went down to Charlotte
They’re not home to find us out
And we drive
Now that I have found someone
I’m feeling more alone
Than I ever have before
She’s a brick and I’m drowning slowly
Off the coast and I’m headed nowhere
She’s a brick and I’m drowning slowly
They call her name at 7:30
I pace around the parking lot
Then I walk down to buy her flowers
And sell some gifts that I got
Can’t you see
It’s not me you’re dying for
Now she’s feeling more alone
Than she ever has before
She’s a brick and I’m drowning slowly
Off the coast and I’m headed nowhere
She’s a brick and I’m drowning slowly
As weeks went by
It showed that she was not fine
They told me, “Son, it’s time to tell the truth”
And she broke down, and I broke down
‘Cause I was tired of lying
Driving back to her apartment
For the moment we’re alone
But she’s alone
And I’m alone
And now I know it
She’s a brick and I’m drowning slowly
Off the coast and I’m headed nowhere
She’s a brick and I’m drowning slowly

Liberals are opposed to personal choice.
The only choice they think should be allowed is who you sleep with and whether you have an abortion.
Other than that, they require you to keep your mouth shut and do what you’re told.
Very well spoken and posted. I agree with you completely.
Substitute “murder” for “abortion” and try it out.
Does the baby get a choice?
Bodies - Sex Pistols
She was a girl from Birmingham
She just had an abortion
She was a case of insanity
Her name was Pauline, she lived in a tree
She was a no one who killed her baby
She sent her letters from the country
She was an animal
She was a bloody disgrace
Body, I’m not an animal
Body, I’m not an animal
Dragged on a table in a factory
Illegitimate place to be
In a packet in a lavatory
Die little baby, screaming
Body, screamin’, f’ing bloody mess
Not an animal, it’s an abortion
Body, I’m not an animal
Mummy, I’m not an abortion
Throbbing squirm
Gurgling bloody mess
I’m not a discharge
I’m not a loss in protein
I’m not a throbbing squirm
F this and f that
F it all and f the f’ing brat
She don’t wanna baby that looks like that
I don’t wanna baby that looks like that
Body, I’m not an animal
Body, an abortion
Body, I’m not an animal
Body, I’m not an animal
An animal, I’m not an animal
I’m not an animal, an animal
I’m not an animal, I ain’t no animal
I’m not a body
I’m not an animal, an animal
I ain’t no animal, I’m not an animal
I’m not an animal, Mummy
Sure, if you agree that killing babies all the way up to the point of birth is a good idea.
Not for me though.
Well said. I’m not sure how the issue of choice became the mantra of the liberals on abortion, but liberals tend to be anti-choice on many other issues.
We can’t choose what light bulbs to use.
We can’t choose what type of toilet to have.
We aren’t allowed to choose our children’s schools.
When liberals are in charge, we don’t have any choice in certain areas. Instead we are supposed to defer to the wisdom of liberal elites. Yet on the abortion question, we are told that we need to be pro-choice, that this large moral/ethical question should be up to people to decide for themselves.
I would like to know what are the liberal criteria for deciding which areas of life we have choices in, and which areas of life we are compelled to defer to a liberal elite.
Thank you.
Right on target, Maceman.
You’re exactly right about that!
A few years ago I had a very liberal Girlfriend.
We would regularly undertake road trips that had only a few rules, get lost, no highways.
I drove from DC to NYC and only paid one toll (Lincoln Tunnel). In the middle of the night without GPS or a road that had more than one lane in either direction.
We did the same thing going to Niagara Falls. No highways, all back roads. No GPS.
Over time my ability to “get lost” was a challenge.
It was all about the music, sex and drinking along the way.
Cresting Skyline Drive at dawn, after 36 hours of driving with Pink Floyd was an experience that I will never forget.
Heading home ?
A detour ?
Something else to think about.
We found ourselves on Lee HWY after being on the road and drinking continuously for at least 36 hours.
BTW, I’m a really good driver.
She loved the music, as did I.
As we drove past an abortion clinic, with protesters out front, I think it was Creed playing, and I broke down in tears.
She knew my position but did not understand why I was crying.
He knows us in the womb. The "up side" of it is that those killed in the womb get to enjoy Heaven without the travails of the disintegrating societies of the world.
On another note, isn't it interesting how the Left keeps co-opting phraseology that had distinct and varying meanings and turns it into a descriptive for some of the most evil acts that Mankind has devised...
