Responding to the Gay Agenda
The Christian Post ^ | october 9, 2013 | Jamaes R. Aist

Welcome homosexual people to fellowship with your congregation, but be very careful how you show them the “love of Christ.” If you welcome them into church membership and/or give them leadership positions of any kind while they are still living a homosexual lifestyle, you will be, in effect, affirming and endorsing their lifestyle and helping them along a path that can only result in their spending their eternity in hell. (1 Corinthians 6:9). How is that showing them the “love of Christ”, who died to save them from their sins, not to save them and their sins?

What would be a biblical response to homosexuals in your church?

What would be your response to a question about why you have excerpted your own material?

For starters, pray for G-d to intervene, as one would for someone with a cancer or multiple sclerosis or suffering from schizophrenia or someone suffering from autism or celebrial palsy, i figure what would be for starters. The “gay rights” activists with their obscene parades in the streets certainly don’t speak for those who are genuinely suffering from homosexualism - and those who actually are doing their very best to escape with, unfortunately, highly varying degrees of success. They need the same kind of prayer and support - not the same as approval or condoning of course - that anyone else struggling with severe personal issues needs.

We lost the culture war. The only way to fight this now is to wage an insurgent campaign against it. We need to get ownership of media like Ben Shapiro suggests and produce pro traditional family movies, etc. Maybe, one day, these media efforts will lead to a re-awakening among the people. This is no short term solution. It would take decades to change.

“ . . . Christ”, who died to save them from their sins, not to save them and their sins

Well put.

If they kept to themselves and didn’t make a big deal of their “lifestyle choice”, I’d leave them alone. But when they deliberately target churches for “homo weddings” and then sue, I will not just sit and take it. Fight back!

What would be a biblical response to homosexuals in your church?

A former Southern Baptist Church in Ft Worth accommodated homosexual "couples" to the point of virtual endorsement of their relationship. The Southern Baptist Convention, after numerous conversations with them in the most biblical basis, finally disfellowshipped them, when this church refused to express and exercise the biblical view of homosexuality.

Look up Broadway (what an appropriate name) Baptist Church for details.

The same kind of thing is happening at a “Baptist” church in the Knoxville area. Very sad.

It sort of reminds me of the dilemma of log cabin Republicans. I tried researching the official Republican platform regarding log cabin Republicans as full-fledged members of the Party but was unable to find any reference to it. I personally can not reconcile the gay life style with Republican values. 'Log cabin Republicans' is an oxymoron that defies the moral values that anchor Republican political perspectives. Any denial of such core Republican beliefs renders any so-called association, affiliation with the Party moot.

I am of the Jewish faith and perhaps I am overreaching to offer my opinion to the manner in which the Church follows God's law as I am in no position to speak with any authority on the subject but I believe any such person must be approached in a specific manner of welcome yet in quarantined sense of observation,as if one seeking membership in an exclusive club. That is, to first have any would-be members satisfy the club's requirements before having access to its privileges.

Any practitioner of gay lifestyle choices seeking the love of Christ should be held in the highest respect and consideration but kept in quarantined state in which any privileges of Church membership be withheld, told in no uncertain terms that which the Church demands the wholesale disavowal, abandonment of previous lifestyle practices before membership can ever to considered.

It's like giving any credibility to an organization called "Nazis for Jews."

This same former SB church tried to affiliate with several other “Baptist” groups, but those associations ultimately failed as well.

It says a lot about what the ultimate character of homosexualism is. They want it all, and if they can’t have it, they will burn the house down so no one else can have it either.

I had to leave an evangelical church for its lackluster, apologetic response to homosexual activism in our city’s midst. The cowardice was irresponsible and inexcusable.

Along the same lines, I have a close friend who retired from pastoring a large church in MD. When he learned of a homosexual attending his church, he sat them down in his office and told them they have two choices: 1) stop practicing homosexuality, or 2) leave the church. Some left the church, but many left homosexuality and stayed in the church.

Exactly- and I think denying them leadership positions in the church when you welcomed to your church, is also ripe for a discrimination lawsuit.....watch and see...

I don’t tolerate homosexuals. I heal them. “Tell me about your father,” I ask them, because healing begins with forgiving flawed parents. “No, you’re not gay. You’ve been listening to the wrong voices.” “No, God didn’t make you gay. Sin (stress) made you gay.”
