Then why would Jesus say this?


"Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you"  (Jn 6:53).

You should know that you have to read the complete thought, not just pick a verse out of the middle because you like it.

Doing that picking and choosing is where the catholic apostasy came from.

John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

He wasn’t talking about the carnal flesh in verse 53 that you quoted. If Catholics would study scripture instead of the RCC they would know that.
